Everything Gets Better in Time Frame with Eileen Hull Inspiration Team

Everything gets better with time and that includes playing with Eileen Hull's Vault Dies!!!

I just love the Notebook Die!!!

I went through my blog and discovered that I have 8-10 post using the Notebook Die!

SO....

Over the next few weeks, I will randomly be doing some throwback Notebook post!

So let's begin with this fun frame created using the Notebook Die!

Begin by cutting one notebook from matboard. 

Emboss a piece of pattern paper using the Lace Embossing Folder.

Add prepared paper to the front and back of cut notebook. 

(Leave bind blank)

Using a palette knife apply tacky paste to bind and some on top of prepared of embossed paper.

Apply Bronze Anther embossing powder to top; heat set. 

(If you don't have tacky paste use Glossy Accent or something similar)

Apply Sizzix Luster Wax Ivory and Charcoal randomly on top of embossed paper. 

Add chipboard to top of notebook along with fussy cut ephemera. 

Add button to chipboard. 

Create a band using elastic ribbon.

(I stapled my ends together)

Add twine bow to top of staple

 Cut a piece of chipboard to measure 2 3/4" x 4 3/4" or a bit smaller. 

(It just needs to fit on the back inside cover. 

.Cut edge top from the Treasure Box; trim edge slightly on the flat edge so the covers will close.

Form box with washi tape

(Use the chipboard as a base to for the box around with the top edge, trim as needed) 

Cut teal paper; embossed. 

Apply luster wax to paper. 

Adhere to inside of book. and outside edges of prepared frame. 

Adhere prepared frame to inside back cover. 

Add jute around edges. 

Inside Notebook

Add a fun photo to inside front cover. 

Adhere pattern paper to back of frame and inside edges of frame. 

Create two folder paper edges to place inside of frame. 

Add fussy cut ephemera to back frame and edges. 

Add Ephemera Sentiments pieces to inside frame with pop dots.

Wherever Life Plants You "Grow" with Eileen Hull Inspiration Team

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Storage ideas, don't you?

Today I am sharing how to take the top part of the Storage Dies that Eileen Hul has to create smaller storage units like the above using the lid to the Treasure Box. 

It is one of Eileen Hull Designs Vaulted Dies. 

Cut two Treasure Box lids: form lids to create box.  

Cover with pattern paper.

Cut smaller pieces to create a lip. 

Cut Notebook cover down to measure 2 3/4 x 4 3/4; adhere paper to top. 

Adhere to top of prepared box. 

Add lace and buttons to top of prepared box. 

Add 1/2 wooden ball to bottom of box. 

Adhere jute around edges of prepared box. 

Emboss small matchbox using Lace Embossing Folder. 

Add fun items to inside and a punched flower to top. 

Place in bottom of prepared box. 

Adhere pattern paper to small notebook. 

Decorate with lace, jute, fussy cut items and splatters of white paint. 

Place in bottom of prepared box. 

Die cut notebook.

 Cut apart at bind. 

Cut covers to measure 3" x 4 1/2" or the size of the memo pads. 

(My prepared memo book flips at the top)

Adhere pattern paper to covers. 

Lay stencil on top of pattern paper; apply tacky paste and embossing powder. 

Heat set with embossing gun. 

Cut bind down to 3" and add prepared covers to it. 

Add memo pads to inside. 

Decorate with jute, piece of the chipboard frame, lace, and fussy cut images. 

Spatter with white paint. 

Place in bottom of prepared box. 

Lay stencil on top of pattern paper; apply tacky paste and Bronze Anther Embossing Powder. 

Heat set with embossing gun. 

Finish decorating top with part of the chipboard frame, fussy cut ephemera, lace, jute. 

Spatter with white paint. 

Have fun making unique storage boxes using Eileen's Treasure Box Die.

Wonderland Mix Media Tag

Wonderland...Is better when you're completely lost!

What a truthful statement.

When you are creating or at least for me I am in my Wonderland!

Completely lost, completely absorbed, completely content. 

So let me help you get lost by creating a "Wonderful" Mix Media Tag

Begin by apply Crackle Paste to top of a large chipboard tag. 

Weave paper strips on top of prepared tag. 

(Inspired by Maremi's Creative Cafe Challenge-Marta Lapkowska)

Photo 1: Lightly apply crackle paste over top. 

Photo 2: Layer two more smaller tags and Victorian Layered Border to top; lightly apply crackle paste. 

Photo 3: Add small ephemera to top of tag and frame; add open frame to top. Lightly apply crackle paste to top. Stamp border with black ink. Lay stencil on tag; apply crackle paste. Dry

Photo 4 and 5: Apply layers of distress inks and sprays to top of prepared tags

Photo 6: Add small ephemera pieces to top of tag. 

Add small metal stars to prepared tag.

Add a few flowers on each side of tag. 

Add bow and mini pearl pieces to tag. 

Add key to tag; apply White Frost Metallic Lustre lightly to bits and pieces of tag. 

Add glossy accent dots here and there to tag; dry.

Spring is in Bloom Tag with Gel Press

May is in full bloom which means so is Springtime! 

Hydrangeas are blooming, dragonflies are flying, and everything is coming alive! 

Speaking of blooming... 

When you create with the Gel Press it reminds me that creating is watching a project bloom. 

Every time I apply different mediums and textures to the Gel Press and do a pull with paper, I am always so surprised at the creation that has been created. 

***This paper pull was created with using 3 Americana paints; brush on randomly

using the Gel Press and Brayer. 

Die cut a tag from the prepared paper. 

Lay stencil on top; apply crackle paste. Dry

Add border element to top of tag. 

Apply some rub-ons on here and there on prepared tag.

Add bow to tag. 

Paint chipboard frame using Prima Tropical Confections to match fussy cut piece. 

Fussy cut images from pattern paper. 

Adhere fussy cut pieces to prepared frame. 

Add to tag.

Finish tag with dragonflies and element strip at the bottom.

Here and Now Pocket Notebook with Eileen Hull Designs Inspiration Team, Belagio and Xyron

Happy Days are here!!! Seems like so much is going on in the world but there is always time to craft and when you find a fabulous new product like Belagio!!! Oh my ….. it makes everything exciting!!!

BELAGIO Cork Paper

Is packaged cork that is 18" x 15" in 9 different and can be found in the notions department of Hobby Lobby. Belagio also has two cork fabric natural and a natural with gold at Walmart stores that have fabric departments.  It is sold by the yard.  As for the entire collection, we have placement in many quilt and craft shops around the country.  The Belagio cork fabric is available at retail on Walmart.com and Amazon.com. The Belagio Cork Fabric is so versatility, durability and user friendly to work with.  It isn't as thick as many cork fabric competitors, but that is intentional.  The Belagio Cork Paper works beautifully with quilting cottons and displays nicely on scrapbook pages, cards and to use with mixed media projects.

Photo 1: Die cut Pocket Notebook pieces from matboard. Add Xyron adhesive to mat board.
Photo 2: Adhere to Belagio Cork Fabric. Trim
Photo 3: Repeat.

Photo 4: Sand edges of all prepared Pocket Notebook pieces; apply Eileen's Colorbox Blends Nutmeg Ink to edges.
Photo 5: Adhere together with Glossy Accent. Clap until dry.

Photo 6: Emboss chipboard frame with Eileen's embossing powder from Emerald Creek.
Photo 7: Adhere prepared embossed chipboard to Belagio Cork Fabric; add rub on "Here and Now" to center of frame.
Photo 8: Adhere to front of prepared Pocket Notebook with Glossy Accent.

Photo 9: Apply Colorbox Blends Aqua Splash to top of Belagio Cork Fabric; die cut flowers using the Stitch and Leaf Thinlit die.
Photo 10: Fussy cut flowers from the Belagio Flower Cork Fabric; apply Glossy Accent to circles on each flower. Dry.
Photo 11: Adhere flowers to top of prepared Here and Now Notebook. Add enamel dots to center of a few flowers.

Create a burgundy twine bow; adhere to front of Here and  Now Notebook.

Add a few Epherema butterflies and arrow to notebook.

Punch tow holes. Add elastic through holes of prepared notebook.

Cover small composition notebook with Belagio Cork Fabric. Decorate with Epherema pieces and prepared Belagio flowers.

Add prepared composition book to inside of Here and Now Notebook.
