"Sketch with Imaginisce"

Imaginisce has a sketch challenge every month and Junes' challenge has a sketch designed by Kim Holmes. If you participate you have a chance to win a prize package of 75.oo from Imaginisce. Here is my take on Kim's design.

I decided to do my layout of "Charlie Boy - Flyin' High". I used Stop & Go and Fly High from the Let's Roll paper line and Bon Voyage from Scooters Vacations. I gave my layout dimension by fussy cutting the frame and using pop dots from some of the paper pieces that I hand cut. Check out all the embellishments they were all cut from Imaginisce paper. This is always a great way to give your page a unique look.

My letters are Pink Paislee Licorice letters, for my plane I used a Quickutz die and paper pieced it together with cardstock; a Zig marker was used to do my stitching on the plane and some of the Quickutz metal for the propeller. I also raised it up using pop dots.

Happy Fathers Day

Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there today. I am trully blessed to have a wonderful husband and father for our children. He is so sweet, funny, kind, and any all possitive attributes a person can think of to place here as an adjective. I am the one that is trully blessed. Sending him hugs and lots of kisses.

I Want to Ride My Bicycle Challenge in the Moxie Fab World"

A challenge this week at Moxie Fab is to create with a bicycle as part of the design, so I had this card that I had recently posted and decided to enter it into her challenge since I haven't done so anywhere else and I just think the card is adorable.

Projects, Projects, Projects

Hard to believe that I haven't add any new projects to my blog in a few days, time just slips away but I have done a couple of new things this week and have a few in the making.

I just got a "Deal of the Day" from Unity (Aug Stamp of the Month Kit). Gorgeous stamps, I just love them and they are the first ones that I own and will be getting more in the coming days. So here is my first card using the stamps, Cosmo Cricket Paper pack "Material Girl" and Copic
Markers.

I stamped my image with Memento Ink and then masked in the trees. I colored the bike using R27 and R 59. I than colored in the larger tree using G14 and G17 , G12 and G17 on the smaller tree and Go2 and Go5 on the grass. I took Tim Holtz Aged Mohogany, Tea Dyed and Broken China to distress the background and added some jagged lines along the bottom to make a bike trail.

I stamped some small flowers on my card for background and added a sentiment. The Material Girl papers I cut into 1" strips and then used pinking shears on each side and I also did some stitich lines to the right of each strip after they were adhered to the card.

I did a second set of tree tops and fussy cut them out and placed them on my card using pop dots to give a dimensional look. I hope you enjoy and check those Unity Stamps.
