Gracie's Treat Jar!

I recently made my cat "Gracie" an upcycled treat jar and thought I would enter it in to the Simon Says Stamps Challenge.
He is so spoiled.
YES...
Gracie is a "boy", lol!!!
AND...
He has a story to tell about his name!!!

I began of course with his treat jar....

Run strips of pattern paper through the Xyron Creative Station or use your favorite adhesive.

Wrap pattern paper that has adhesive applied to it along with borders around jar.

Stamp a Crazy Cat image on to water color paper.
Color with distress markers.

Die cut images out.

Add labels and prepared crazy cat to front of jar.

Die cut borders and rosettes.

Form rosettes; add large one to top of jar lid along with a metal knob.

Add smaller ones to front of snack jar.
Adhere small circles and brads to centers.

Wrap twine around jar lid ring with twine.
Die cut label using watercolor paper.
Water color paper with distress markers, dry completely.
Do stitch line work and pets name with the word "snack" with black pen.
Tie to twine.
Add twine bow.

I hope you have enjoyed my snack cat treat jar and try making a fun treat jar for your pet.

Happy Birthday Poppies Pop Up Card with Stampendous

Hi everyone!!! Did you know that all week the Stampendous Design Team has shared inspiration projects using the new Pop Up Die Set that is now available in the Stampendous Store. It sets the stage for exciting pop ups in columns and platforms! Pop Up Stages dies are so versatile as separate pieces so you able to create one image or multiples to pop up on you card.I began my card by first adding the doily to the center of my pattern paper. Using the #3 die and prepared pattern paper; die cut. Adhering it to pattern paper when done. Mix crackle embossing paste with a drop or two of paint. Lay stencil on top of pattern paper for card front and apply mix to card. Once dry add doily to front and stamp "Happy Birthday" with black ink. Adhere to card stock and adhere to front of card front.  Stamp flowers, leaves and base on white paper with black ink; color in with markers. Die cut using the Pretty Poppies Die Set. Add die cut flowers, leaves and vase to inside of card. Stamp  birthday sentiment on pattern paper with black ink. Add to pop up tab. Form pocket journal; wrap with bow. Adhere to inside of card.
Closer look at the inside of the card!
Add prepared pretty poppies to front of card.
Add pop dots to larger Pretty Poppies.

Why Do I Create Tags with DCWV Inc.

Last week was Creativation formerly known as CHA. DCWV Inc. had a Facebook call for anyone that wanted to create tags to send to them and they would display them at Creativation. Since I had all my other projects done and mailed in so I thought I would help out.

I created 5 tags based on the theme of "Why Do You Create".
There are a lot of reasons I created....
I create because it makes me HAPPY!!!

I create because I love photos...taking photos of my family, friends, nature, etc.
 I just love photography.

I create because I love my family and love making them pretty things and scrapbooking the events in their lives.

I create because it is simple, fun, refreshing and so much more.

Last I create to Celebrate Memories!!!!
They are the most cherished reason to create!!!

Be Mine Card with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts

Hi everyone!!!  I created a fun embossed Valentine Card today using lots of our fabulous Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Chipboard!

I began by first distressing pattern paper and card stock and adhering it to a square card base.

Paint the Steampunk Hearts with distress paint; dry. Cut pattern paper to place on one side of the Steampunk Hearts; add washi tape around the edge of the pattern paper. Using Boss Gloss apply over the painted parts of the heart; emboss with embossing powder. Carefully remove the washi tape.

Carefully apply Metallic Lustre to top of emboss Steampunk Heart.

Adhere to top of pattern paper.

Add Doily to top of prepared card front.

Embossed smaller Steampunk Heart with pink Valentine embossing powder.

Carefully apply Metallic Lustre to top of embossed Steampunk Heart. Adhere to top of pattern paper.

Paint Flowers with distress paint; dry. Layer the flowers together secure with brad; bend Flowers up with tweezers to form Flowers.

Adhere Steampunk Heart to front of prepared card base.  Add prepared Flowers on card front.

Apply embossing powder to "Be Mine" Steampunk Heart; adhere to front of card. Add violin charm.

Make and add bow to front of card.

I hope I have encouraged to make a few Valentine cards or other projects using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Chippies. Make sure to check out the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Store to check more chipboard products that are available. Thanks so much again for stopping by today. Hugs Pam
