KinderStampO December Ornament Blog Hop Dec 16-18

Jesse from KinderStampO asked each of us to make a handmade ornament for our tree and to make one to give away. If you came from the talented Nicole of Candian NickelScrapin' Blog then you are heading in the right direction and if you would like to see what beautiful ornaments were designed for the hop I would love for you to go to KinderStampO Blog to start the hop.
I started my ornament by purchasing a premade paper mache ornaments from Hobby Lobby and painted them red.
I then took two pieces of 1 1/2" x 12 Autentique paper, glued the ends together and accordion fold them together. See the Make It Christmas music box. I placed it in the center of the ornament by drawing a circle in the middle of the ornament just big enough to hold the music box, I then cut the circle out and placed the music box inside the paper mache' ornament. I then took my accordian folded strip and placed it around the music box with two way tape.
I added two scalloped circles and a button to the center of the circles. Make sure your ornament is still playing music before you place the circles on it. Place your glue to the outside rim of the circles to assure they will continue to play. I hope you try adding a bit of music to your ornaments and continue on the hop by going to Creatively Counting My Blessings with Kristina and of course I would love for you to follow my blog and leave a comment if you wish. Have a blessed holiday season as you are decorating your home and tree. Hugs Pammejo

My Take on Tags 4 and 5 on the Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas

I am so far behind on the 12 Tags of Christmas that Tim Holtz has shared on his blog that it is almost embarrassing to share Tags 4 and 5, hee, hee, hee but here they are anyway. So this is my interpretation of Tag 4 and to see the original concept please go to Tim's Tag. I used an embossing folder to achieve my snowflakes and fussy cut them out since I didn't have the die to cut out. I also used a stamp for my snowman and enlarged it, fussy cut it out and hand drew my 25 in the center, then cut it out with my xacto knife. The rest of the tag I did as on Mr. Tim's Blog. I really like that we are encouraged to use our products that we have at home and to use our creative juices to make a tag that looks like his creation.Tag 5 was really cool technique where you used alcohol ink, covered an acetate tag and then stamped your background stamp over the top of the ink once it was dry, blotting off the Black Archival Ink off with a soft cloth to expose the acetate. To finish it add a white tag to the back of the tag. I made a wreath from some Bo Bunny Christmas paper and placed the wreath over the top of a Santa image from the same paper collection. To see Mr. Tim's Blog version of the tag just go to the link. I hope you have enjoyed my interruption of the tags and I hope I can get the other seven made. Wish me luck. Hugs Pammejo

Memory Box Pointsetta Card

I am a big fan of Memory Box stamps and I have come to just love their paper, so today it is all about Memory Box. I stamped my Poinsettia twice on a piece of the paper from the Christmas Pak and colored it in with my Copic Markers. I then fussy cut just the Poinsettia out of one the sheets and pop dot it to the other Poinsettia and added it to the front of my card base. I also distressed this piece before I placed it to my card. I added a border that I had made using the EK Notebook Punch along with some staples from my Tiny Attacher. Check out the Memory Box Stamps and papers if you have never looked at them. Hugs Pammejo

My Take on Tags 1-3 of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas!!!!

Today I thoughto participate in the 12 Tags of Christmas that Tim Holtz is doing on his blog. I have to use my creativity to the max since I don't have all of the products that he is using and I think they have turned out pretty well so far.
Here is my interpretation of Tag One, I made my little pearl bling by using some of the jewelry beads that I had in my stash along with silk flowers that I found. I added a Bo Bunny Father Christmas to one of the Tim Holtz stick pins. Instead of using Tim's new pinecone die which definitely is beautiful I used my McGill punches to make my pinecones since that is the one I have and it definitely makes beautiful pinecones.
Tag 2 was quite fun to make, I have net I would try to get at least the first 3 tags I made. I am trying ver used canvas like this so I was glad to try the technique along with using the Distress Stains. I didn't have the Holiday Christmas paper pad so I used a Hero Arts Stamp to make my music background and a Hero Arts Merry Christmas stamp and embossed to get my sentiment on it. Also, I didn't have the deer or the snowman die so what I did was stamp my Tim Holtz Snowman stamp and then fussy cut it out of grunge paper, glued the canvas to the top and cut it again after I had applied it to the the grunge paper. I still think it turned out pretty cute but to see Mr. Tim's tag just hit the link and it will take you there.
Tag 3 was suppose to do with a foam pad and distress ink refills, well needless to say I didn't have either but I did have the embossing folder so with some manipulation I got my image on and just ran the Tim Holtz Distress stains over the top. Again I didn't have the die he used so I made a Poinsettia using my McGill punch along with stickers from the Bo Bunny Father Sticker sheet to add the flourishes like he had on his tag.
I sure hope you enjoyed my tags today but make sure to stop by Tim Holtz site by going to the link, seeing his tags and trying some of the techniques that Mr. Tim uses.

Christmas Card Blog Hop Dec 3 and 4

Welcome back for day two of the "Christmas Card Blog Hop" that is being hosted by the talented Nicolette of Beyond Scrappin'. If you would like to join us please stop by the Beyond Scrapppin' and if you came from our fabulous Gill of Creations by Gill. I have used a Penny Black Poinsettia stamp that I stamped on a piece of the We R Memory Paper and colored in with my Copic Marker doing the flower in shades of pink. I used the We R Memory Keepers White Christmas 6 x 6 paper pak to make my card with. I loved the way the pink turned out and think of it is a very non-traditional way of doing my Christmas cards
I added a journal block to the inside of my cards because I felt it would be easier to write my Christmas sentiment. My next card again I feel is a little non-traditional because it is done in the yellow hues of my Copic Markers.
I just love the Penny Black stamp and find it is so versatile. Make sure to continue with the hop by going on over to Susan of It's Me Susan P Blog to see what she has designed for your viewing pleasures. Make sure to stop by often and enjoy the day. Hugs Pam

Christmas Cards and Cookies Blog Hop Dec 3 and 4

Welcome to the Christmas Cards and Cookies Blog Hop that is being hosted by the talented Dena of Unknown, Entertaining Mind of Dena Jones, so if you hop over from Precious Memories Scrapbooking and More with Staci you are heading in the right direction and if not please join us in the fun of fabulous cards and yummy "recipes" that will be featured on each of our blogs. Now for my card I used the Making Memories Mistletoe papers for my card. I made a paper folded ribbon and punched out circles that I placed one up on pop dots, along with adding a black gingham bow and some Making Memories stick pins to add a little pop to the card.
Inside my card I fussy cut some of the sweet trees and added them to the bottom right corner.

Now for my recipe which is a super easy candy recipe instead of a cookie recipe but it so yummy that I usually make it for every holiday and event that I go to.
"White Chocolate Pretzel and Mixed Nuts"
1 pound fo white almond bark
3/4 lb of small pretzels
1 can of mixed nuts

In a large pot melt almond bark over medium heat, stir constantly or it will burn. When completely melted remove from heat. Add Pretzels and nuts. Pour on to 2 large pieces of aluminum foil. Spread out thinly. Allow to cool completely and break into pieces placing in a sealed container.

Now make sure to continue on to the hop and see what wonderful inspiration and yummy recipe that Maria of Creative By Design has designed/cooked up for you.

Now if you are looking for Nicolette Christmas Cards Blog Hop it is the next post.
Again, thank you for stopping by and please feel free to follow my blog or just leave a comment letting me know that you stopped by. Hugs Pammejo

Today is the Day!!!! 12 Tags of Christmas Begin!!!

Today is the day that a lot of us have looked forward to. The 12 Tags of Christmas with Tim Holtz. Here are few of the ones I made last year.
I just love all of the techniques and tips, though mine look nothing like what his were like but I think on the whole I am pleased without how they turned out.
A lot of the products I didn't have so I just did my interpretation of the tag, using different inks, stamps etc.

Sometimes I really went way out of the box from what Tim was sharing with us, but I was always pleased.
This is by far my favorite tag, I just love the bling and the bright Christmas colors.
I only made 6 tags out of the 12... so I am hoping to better this year. On this tag I had to draw the fence and house on to grudge since I didn't have the die. I hope you have enjoyed my interpretation of last years tags and I really really hope you think about doing this years tags with us. Hugs Pammejo
