Home Sweet Home Recipe Box with Xyron

Recipe boxes are such a nice addition to your kitchen or to give as a gift.
Having family favorites are so wonderful.
So keeping recipes fresh and clean are important and can easily be achieved by using the Xyron Creative Station with the Laminate Cartridge.
Gather your paper, recipe box and paint together.
Paint box and cut paper to sizes for outside of box.

Ink edges of all pattern paper, run through the Xyron Creative Station using the 9" Permanent Adhesive. Place on recipe box.
Cut strips to place on the recipe box.
Place on recipe box.

Decorate front with journal pieces from pattern paper.
Decorate the top of recipe box with random letters, flowers and metal silverware.
Write recipes on card, run through the Xyron Creative Station using the Laminate Cartridge
Repeat with all of your Family Recipes...you will love having them protected using the Laminate Cartridge.
So as we begin 2016 you will have time to gather some of your Family Favorites up and create a special recipe box for someone special using you Xyron Creative Station!!!!
Hugs

You need to take a minute and check out the
I am so in love with all the fabulous embellishments!!!
BUT....
There is so much more to select from...
Stamps, inks, paste, etc.
 I created two projects...
my first is my Kisses Tag!!!
I began by inking my tag with distress ink.
Begin with...
Fossilized Amber
Abandoned Coral
Cracked Pistachio
Barn Door
Mermaid Lagoon
Keep applying ink using blending tool until you get the color you like.
Stamp with a dye ink and stamp.
Apply crackle texture paste using stencil and palette knife.
Allow it to dry completely.
Ink over the top of dry texture paste using Abandoned Coral.
Spatter with Picket Fence Paint.
Allow to dry completely.
Apply distress markers on watercolor paper with a paint brush.
Use a mister to blend the ink together.
Allow the watercolor paper to dry completely.
Stamp bird with dye ink.
Fussy cut out.
Apply more of the ink from the distress pens using paint brush to help shade and highlight areas of the bird.
Allow the bird to dry.
Adhere metal band to the bottom of the tag.
Adhere border strips over the top.
Ink frame with Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo.
Stamp with mixed media stamp using Picket Fence Stamp.
Allow to dry completely.
Adhere over journal piece.
Cut hearts out from chipboard.
Ink hearts with Abandoned Coral.
Stamp with mixed media stamp using Picket Fence Stamp.
Allow to dry completely.
Adhere border strips, prepared frame and hearts to top of tag.
Adhere piece of metal to side of tag.
Add ribbon to top.
My second project is a fun little I Love You Mini Album using Eileen Hull's new Needle Book Die.
Die cut Needle Book with chipboard.
Ink top of needle book with Broken China using a blending tool.
Stamp top of needle book directly with the mini Broken China ink pad.
Stamp mixed media stamp to top of needle book with Picket Fence.
Spatter with Picket Fence.
Allow to dry completely.
Apply I Love You to edge of needle book with Crackle Texture Paste.
Allow to dry completely.
HINT: Mask the back of the words with washi tape to keep from getting paste or ink on your project leaving only the words that you want to paste.
Add bird to front on needle book.
Adhere borders and journal piece to front.
Add latch to top of needle book.
Score and fold a 3" x 12" piece of pattern paper.
Add to center of needle book with pretty ribbon bow.
I love to create and it has been so fun working with the amazing products from Emerald Creek.
Look forward to the future.
Until we meet again.
