Sending Hugs - Inspired by Stamping Challenge

Today is the Inspired by Stamping Challenge blog is ready for our next color challenge and it is gorgeous. I am so excited to be apart of the challenges and hope you will start participating, you could become the next guest designer. I made a sweet valentine card to send out to a special friend that needs to have a hug. I used Hero Arts XO stamp set since I am still waiting on my Inspired by Stamping stamps to arrive. Can't wait for them to arrive.
My paper My Minds Eye Blush paper pad and my flowers are hand made. Don't you love them, here is how simple they are to make.
1. Punch out a few circles, I used a scallop punch but you can use anything. If you don't have a punch just tear yourself a piece of paper to form a circle, they are really pretty done this way and gives your flowers a real vintage feel. Start on the outside edge, using your scissors cut to form a spiral.
2. Start on the outside edge and roll the spiral around the end of your petal roller, tweezers, etc.
3. Once you have your spiral completed roll, remove from your tool and glue to the bottom middle of the spiral. I use Glossy Accent because it is gummy and seems to grasp all of the spiral cuts.
 4. Here are your simple yet beautiful flowers.
I stamped my image prior to placing my flowers to the front of my card, adding some fun artificial leaves and a few picks.
My hearts were all stamped from Hero Arts Four Hearts stamp set, though I used Hero Arts make sure to check out the heart stamp sets that Inspired by Stamping has in their store and try to do the challenge this week and there is a  Plus!!!! There is  blog candy!! One lucky winner will receive a $25 gift card to the Inspired by Stamping Store. Just use the colors in the above photo to make your project with.  Upload your to your blog or online gallery, leave a link to your project using the Linky widget at the bottom of the Inspired by Stamping blog. Make sure to add IBSIC #44 to your post, the challenges last a week. Hugs Pammejo

Ladies Diary

Ladies Diary Card  is so elegant!!! I made from Graphic 45 Ladies Diary Collection. I added some tulle under the Ladies Diary die cut to help soften the look of the green background, tulle always gives a soft look to your cards.
Don't you just love Tim Holtz metals, chain tassel, baubles and facets. I do so I just had to add some to my card to keep up with the vintage feel of my project. I use Glossy Accent on the back of my facet and then just place it over my picture. Allow it to dry before you cut it out or it will slip on you. Place it to the front of your card after you have placed your baubles on with jump rings and make sure to add your chain tassel to the bottom. Hugs Pammejo

With Sympathy using Teresa Collins Collection

I am really not a huge fan of making sympathy cards but ever so often you just have to make one. :( So today I would like to share one I made for a coworker using Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze. I thought it turned out pretty well, it gave the look of I am sorry for your loss but yet a bit of cheerfulness.
I added a few Prima roses to the top of my card with the sentiment from Paper Smooches. Just so you know Paper Smooches sentiments is really a nice stamp set and has a wide variety of sentiments on its stamp sheet. Hugs Pammejo

Inspired by Stamping Color Challenge

Today at Inspired by Stamping is the color Challenge and though I still haven't received my stamps I decided to participate in it. So here is my take on the white, saffron yellow ad pink concept. I used Carta Bella Beautiful Moments Collection along with a sentiment stamp from Hero Arts to make my card. I will be using my card for my sweet daughter Sarah Birthday which is actually today.
Don't you love the inspiration piece.
Here is a closer look at the banner I created to put my sentiment. My sentiment is placed on Sizzix nesting frames. I added a few little rosebuds from Prima and some white lace to complete my project. I hope you go to Inspired by Stamping to see the other projects and make sure to participate in the color challenge. Oh and make sure to wish my sweet Sarah a Happy Birthday!!!! Hugs Pammejo

Hello Card with Graphic 45

I loved the Tropical Travelogue Collection and made this "Hello" Card using it. My "Hello" Card was part of the projects that I shared with Graphic 45 on the 21st for my Guest Artist appearance. I know they would love for you to visit their blog and take a look around. Check out all of the fabulous designers that showcase their work if you have done it yet, you will be simply amazed.
Don't you love the flowers!!!! I fussy cut out on large from a sheet of the paper and three smaller ones. I cut each flower petal so each petal would be free, rolled them with my McGill Paper Blossom Tool set and painted them Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze to give them some shine but more importantly to make them stiff. If you have never tried it I would encourage you to. Once dried I place each small flower on the larger flower, added a sheer bow and placed it to the front of my card. Again I hope you stop by Graphic 45 and check out a few of my other projects. Hugs Pammejo

This Candy Jar die is just so versatile and can used as a gift box for any occasion and not used just for candy but for grift cards, jewelry, etc.  check out Eileen Hull fun dimensional dies they are just so clever and fun to use. I was Graphic 45 Guest Artist yesterday so I hope if you didn't have an opportunity to  check out my projects that you will head over and do so. EXCITED I AM .....Graphic 45 Guest Artist

I AM SO EXCITED!!!! I was asked to be Graphic 45 Guest Artist today!!!! It is a dream come true since Graphic 45 is one of my favorite paper companies. So if you go to their blog you will see a large selection of altered projects, cards and layouts that I made for the guest artist spots.
I would like to share my "School Days" project today. I made a mini album book stand from a wood clock that I had for years to display my altered mini album on.
Love the claw feet from Tim Holtz along with the Clock Face from Sizzix they helped me transform my clock to look more like a stand.
Of course all of the little details helped in that area too. I fussy cut the little girl blowing bubbles out and put a bit of Glossy Accent on the bubbles so they would have some dimension. After it was dried I placed her on some mini spools that I had stained and wrapped with paper. My mini, mini alphabets are from one of the ABC Primer papers, fussy cut and tied together with twine.
My School Days fence is made from a piece of cardboard that I tore the paper from the front of, distressed with a white paint dabber and cut the top to look like a fence. I added the hinge that I cut, embossed and distressed to the front of the fence once I wrapped it with a bit of brown twine. I also added a few mini albums, ie. basket, hearts, etc.
For the mini, I used one of the sheets of ABC Primer to create the cover and a few of the inside pages.
The corresponding pages are photos of two of my grandchildren on the first day of school. They were discovering their classrooms and desks. I loved how the stickers from A Place of Time worked so nicely with the album.
I added a few of the tags, some of the poems and rhymes to the pages as well.
A bit of Tim Holtz and Momenta metals are added through out the book  Along with twine, Prima products and ribbon,
a few tags, clips and staples from the tiny attacher.
And one of my new loves is washi tape so I had to add a bit to the last pages along with a clip for 7Gypsies. I hope you have enjoyed my altered clock that I re-purposed into a mini book stand and that you ook around to see what you can re-purpose around your home. Thanks again for stopping by and hope you will head over to Graphic 45 to see a few more projects that I will be sharing, also I will be sharing a more details on over the next couple of days on some of the projects. Hugs Pammejo

Paradise Card Using Adirodack Paint Dabbers

On Jan 21st I will be the Guest Artist on Graphic 45 here is a sneak peak of one of my projects that I will be sharing. First, I would like to share how to use Adirondack Paint Dabbers as a resist when stamping. I made my Graphic 45 Paradise Card using this very technique for the background. The Tim Holtz Visual Artistry "The Journey" stamp was perfect to work with because the Sandal Paint Dabber worked easily with the image. The biggest thing to remember is to wash your stamp as soon as you get done painting or it will eventually distort your image from the build up of paint. NOW stamp the image on white background paper, once it is dry you will take your Tim Holtz Aged Mahogany, Tea Dye, Frayed Burlap and Wild Plum inks. Using your blending tool and foam pads ink over the image in a swirling motion. Once this is done take a moist paper towel and whip lightly over the top to expose the image.
I also love to do this with my papers, get them wet and scrunch them up. NOW the fun part is to lay them on your craft sheet and fold, wrinkle and twist them into the shape you want. How fun does this ruffle look for my card. Make sure that it is dried completely before placing it on your card or your adhesive might not stick.

The American Crafts eyelet ribbon was stained with the Broken China Stain, once dry then ink with the Frayed Burlap Distress Ink to give it a rustic look. I added one of the die cuts from the Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue to the front of the card, along with a couple of Baubles, Memo Pins, and Metal Findings. I hope you like the technique of stamping with paint dabbers.  Thank you for stopping by and remember to stop by Graphic 45 tomorrow.   Hugs Pammejo

Sin City Scraps - Smile the World is Waking

Sin City Scraps
Can you believe spring will be here in just a few more weeks...rom the birds singing, to flowers bloom, to bamboo covering the yard it will be Spring. Beautiful colors, rebirth of plants and trees, beautiful colors and warm sunny days it will be Spring. So I would like to share with you how to make a background with Distress Stains and a Black Zig Marker.
Started with a piece of water color paper and distress stain to make my background, making sure to overlap a bit.
Once the stains are placed on the watercolor paper, take your H2O pen and blended them together. Make sure you allow the stains to dry thoroughly before doing your line work with your zig pen or it my run. (I used my embossing gun to speed up the time)
Stamp several Heartfelt Posy Patch Flower onto a piece of Miss Caroline paper from My Minds Eye. I fussy cut all of the pieces out and rolled them with my McGill Blossom Tool set so they would have dimension, also added a gemstone to each of the centers. Place your blue mesh down and then add your flowers you have prepared. with glue dots. I actually stapled the edges of the blue mesh down to hold into place. Make sure to stamp your sentiment on to your card. I did mine after I glued the flowers on but you may want to do this before. I hope you try making your backgrounds and try your hand at fussy cutting your stamped images. Hugs Pammejo

Graphic 45 Celebrate Card along with Northwood Hydrangea Stamp

Today is all waiting for spring as we sit patiently waiting for winter to pass by. It is cold, raining, snowing and sleeting here in Memphis - such a drastic change from the 70 degree weather yesterday. I think hydrangeas just shout spring is in the air so I used Northwoods Hydrangea Stamp and Rangers Distress Markers to create my card with. I used Graphic 45 Place in Time "March" paper and Cut Out paper was the perfect colors to go with my colored image. Once I got my image colored with my Tim Holtz distress markers and fussy cut out I added Ranger Distress Stickles to the leaves and a few of the flowers to help give the glistening affect that you see on hydrangeas. I added the fussy cut image and tag to the front of my card with pop dots over the Pink Paislee pleated ribbon. I hope you try using Graphic 45 Place in Time paper collection for more than just making a calendar with. ALSO.... I want to share with you I will be the Guest Designer for Graphic 45 on Jan 21st. I am over the moon with being invited. I sure hope you stop by. Hugs Pammejo

Lots and Lots of Love with Crate Paper

I love the Fourteen Collection from Crate Paper, it is so bright and fun. I used the Be Mine and Cupid papers to make my card, the hearts are fussy cut from the paper and placed on pop dots. Don't you love it when the paper so easily becomes an embellishment. The great border is with EK Success Scallop Border and a bit of burgundy paper. I stamped the "Lots & Lots of Love" from a Valentine Hero Arts sentiment set using Memento Black Ink. I hope you are having a lovely day. Hugs Pammejo

I Love You Card - Paper Patch Crafts Challenge

Paper Patch Crafts has a challenge where you can create a card based on a sketch being shared on Card Sketch Challenge event.   According to the rules you have until Jan. 13th midnight to post a picture of your never seen, brand new project under the event. Here is my interpretation of the PageMaps sketch that is being used. I made my card using the Carta Bella Beautiful Moments Collection which includes paper, stickers, borders and die cuts.
I inked all of my pieces with Chestnut Roan Ink before I glued them to my card base. I tore my border edges before I inked them and stapled the border into place.
I wrapped brown twine around both the card front and made a mimic bird nest for the bird to add a bit more interest to my card. Place the birds on pop dots as well as the circle which I added a piece of bling to. The sentiment is a rub on from Bazzill. I sure hope you try your had at the challenge going over at Paper Patch Crafts because the prize is a really nice set of stamps from The Stamps of Life. Hugs Pammejo
