Disclaimer Notice: I’ve received products/compensation as part of the Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Design Team. This project however, is 100% my own project! Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. I explain more here.

Happy Saturday to all of our Gyspy Soul Laser Cuts Fans!!! Pam here today to share with you a fun and easy Seasons of Joy Christmas Scissors Wall Décor to add to your holiday decoration this year or to gift to a special person on your holiday list!

Begin by painting Scissors Wall Décor with black paint, dry. Repeat with Weathered Wood; dry and lastly with Crackle Paste to achieve the crackle look. Next you will give a wash of the yellow and red paint; drying between coats. Lastly, add different layers of Metallic Lustre to achieve that vintage, rusty feel you like for your Seasons of Joy Christmas Scissors Wall Décor. Spatter with white and black paint; dry.

Paint a frame from the Filigree Frames and Shape Set using paint and lustre to continue your vintage look. Adhere to the center of the prepared scissors. Add chipboard piece to center of frame. Wrap frame with brown twine.

Add miniature poinsettia, white flowers, berries and pinecones randomly along edge of Filigree Frame.

Paint Leafy Swirl with paint and apply a bit of the lustre to edges. Stamp with background stamp and black paint. Spatter with white and black paint. Adhere prepared Leafy Swirl under florals.

Add tan twine bow and rusty jingle bells to finish you Seasons of Joy Christmas Scissors.

I hope you are inspired to create the Seasons of Joy Christmas Scissors for your gift giving this holiday season or to keep in mind as you enter the New Year. Now to a bit of a sad ending...this is my last official post as part of the Gyspy Soul Design Team but never fear you will continue to see me use Gypsy Soul Lasercuts Chipboard and you never know I may show back up here to do a few Guest Spots. Peace Card with Xyron

Disclaimer Notice: I’ve received products/compensation as part of the  Xyron Design Team. This project however, is 100% my own project! Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. I explain more here.

Hello Crafty Friends!  Are you making Christmas Cards yet?  This week Xyron is all about CARDS!!! The best part is the Xyron Team is having a  Xyron Hashtag Challenge this week and it is in full swing on Instagram! If you are unfamiliar with a Hashtag Challenge, its basically where a ‘’challenge’’ is announced each week, and you guys use the #hollyjollyxyron to share your projects that go with that challenge Then, once the challenge week is up, the Xyron Design Team will pick a winner of the challenge and that person will be featured on all of our Instagram pages AND will win a Xyron Creative Station! So join us on Xyron to do the #hollyjollycards Challenge this week. Load those cards up and follow along with the Xyron and the team!

Today I am sharing with you an easy, vintage feeling card that I created by doing a bit of distressing and inking of my papers.

Begin your card by first cutting card stock and pattern paper to fit the front of your card base. Distress the edges of all the pieces with distress tool, ink edges with Colorbox Nutmeg Blend ink. Adhere all pieces to top of card base using Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

Run a piece of ribbon through the Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker; place on front of card.

Die cut "Peace" from card stock; run through Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker and add to front of card.

Cut pattern paper and card stock to create a strip for the top of card front. Repeat the distressing and inking method on all pieces. Adhere together with Xyron Mega Tape Runner.

Die cut doily and punch scallop circle out of card stock. Run both pieces through Xyron 3" Disposable Sticker Maker.

Adhere the doily to the scallop circle. Add to front of card front.

Stamp image to white card stock. Distress and ink edges; mat of distress and ink mats. Adhere together the Xyron Mega Tape Runner. Add to front of card with pop dots. Add bow to card.

Stamp second image on white card stock; color with markers. Fussy cut image and add to front of card with pop dots. Add enamel dots to card.

I hope you enjoyed my distress and ink technique and try it on your next project. Pam
