Graphic 45 Secret Card Card and Publication Brag

It has been so cold in Memphis that it is hard to believe that Spring is here. The birds are chirping though and the pear trees are blooming as well as the flowers are springing from the ground. I couldn't help to make a beautiful card using the Secret Garden Collection from Graphic, just love this collection.
I love all of the journal blocks and tags, they are amazing. I am uisng the Secret Garden Rose journal block and placed it on the front of my card with pop dots.
I added a vintage key and a fussy cut bird that I placed on a piece of twig from the garden. Remember to add a bit of detail to the inside of your card just to give it that finished look.

Publication Brag....
I also wanted to share with you my Spring Pinwheel Wreath that was published in the Create and Decorate Magazine, if you would like to make it the decorations are in the magazine, it is easy peasy to make up. Hugs Pammejo

All Things Altered Spring Blog Hop - March 22-23

Today we are celebrating our All Things Altered Spring Blog Hop with a line up of some fabulous designers. They are also very creative and I can't thank them enough for making our Altered Hops so successful.  I hope you go each of there blogs, leave them a bit of love, become a new follower, since I know that they have worked very hard to create unique, clever and one of a kind projects for you to see today and maybe to inspire you to look for something fabulous to alter. Here is the line up just in case you get lost always come back here to find your way down our blogging trail....

1. Pam - http://pammejo-scrapbookflair.blogspot.com/
2. Pinky- http://www.blueyecicle.blogspot.com
3. Debbie- http://studiobeecreations.blogspot.com/
Here is a fun bunny that I altered, I bought him last year on the clearance rack at Hobby Lobby for a few dollars. He was painted in ivory with absolutely no life in him, so I had to give him a little crafty spirit that would shout "Hello Spring".

The first thing I did was get my Quick Dry Glue and a box of Tim Holtz Tissue Paper. I tore small pieces of paper and glued them into place. (You can use ModPodge if you perfer) HINT: Remember to spread out in thin coats or it will become lumpy.
Once I knew the glue was good and dry, dry being the most important part, I proceed inking it up with my Tim Holtz Distress Inks along with my blending tool. I inked and inked and inked until I got the colors that I wanted onto the paper. Set it aside and give it time to penetrate the papers or you will be wearing it on your hands.
I gave my bunny a fabulous color made from 2 x 2 squares that I rolled and glued on to the top of a doily that I had inked, cut in half and placed on to the bunny body. I can't take credit for the rolled collar since I just seen a friend make them at a crop we went to together. Thanks Melissa for inspiring my collar. Every altered project should have a bit of metal and ribbon don't you think.
Here is a closer look at the collar so you can see the great dimension in the layering.
I fussy cut the flowers from a sheet of Basic Grey Out of Print Collection and the bunnies eye is made from layered metals.
Here is funny little cotton tail made from and inked a crunched up doily along with more metals, fussy cut flowers and bling
I place him over a window in my studio. You can't see it but the window actually sets on a bench that is on top of a farm table. He looks fabulous along with a bit of my other fun altered projects. Again I hope you will hop on over the very talented and creative Pinky's Much ADo About Nothing Blog. Make sure to leave a comment, away to reach you and become followers of each blog because I am giving away a  "Surprise Basket" full of Springtime Goodness. Hugs Pammejo

IBSIC Inspiration Challenge #51

The Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #51 is based on the this photo, I love the colors of the orange and green together.
I used Tangerlo and Bamboo Leaves Memento Inks to achieve my circles background from the Fancy Circle Stamp set that Inspired by Stamping has in their store.
Just ink some of the Tangrlo and then a bit of the Bamboo Leaves on the stamp and stamp randomly on your white card base, making sure to do a bit of overlapping and allowing some of the circles to run off the page. I stamped one of the Fancy Circles and Miss You sentiment on to some scrap white paper and punched it out with my 2" punch, added it to the top of a scallop circle and placed some fun orange gemstones to the edge of the circle. I  hope you have enjoyed my card today and go over to Inspired by Stamping Challenge Blog and try doing the challenge this week. Hugs Pammejo

Once Upon A Springtime Easter Letters

It is hard to believe that Easter is only a few days away but I thought I would share with you the Easter letters that I altered with Graphic 45 "Once Upon a Springtime" Collection. All I can say is thank goodness I came across this paper collection because I have had these letters in my stash for at least 6 years waiting for that perfect paper and I believe this is it. By the way my letters are 5" tall and I paid $3 for them on the clearance rack. What a great buy, don't you think.
Like I always say I love, love making roly poly flowers and fussy cutting. So that is exactly what I did for my letters.
Here is a closer look at the flowers but notice my sweet pin, my friend Pam - refer to most as the Good Pam, Pam made it for me this weekend while we were cropping and I think it fit in perfectly on my letter. Thanks "Good" Pam.
I added a journal piece to the "A" to give the letter some more depth, fussy cut the fairy out, added some Crystal Stickles and some Glossy Accent to the dots on the wings.
I made my pearls look like they were being poured out of her hand.
I had to add some scallop circles to the "T" because the momma bunny and babies just got lost in the flowers but I think it gave a nice look to the letter.
I found this fun Prima Locket so I just had add it to my "T", placed a fairy inside of it along with some Glossy Accent, wrapped around the letter with some brown twine and tied a bow.
I just love this paper, did I say that. The bunnies and fairies just came to life and I can see why it is called "Once Upon a Springtime".
I continued with pearls through each of the letter and on this one I just added them to each scallop of the circle, added a tag and a GCD butterfly brad to the bottom. I hope you enjoyed my letters and I encourage you to keep an eye out for anything that you might be inspired to alter.  Hugs Pammejo

SinCity Scraps - Adventure Card with Faded Stamping

Life is always full of  “Adventure” don’t you think… always be ready for the unexpected… This last few weeks have been a roller coaster ride with the last minute announcing of the store I work in closing; so I am so thankful for SinCity Stamps where I will be able to get amazing supplies and stamps from. Today I would love to share with you my “Adventure Card” using the “Wings Above the Rest” stamp set to make my card with.
So gather up your stamps, both the wing and the background stamp from “Wings Above the Rest”  Stamp Set and your Memento Ink
I inked and  then stamped my image first on a paper towel and then on to my white card base to give it a more faded look.
Once I had my winged image along with my background image stamped, I used my Distress Inks along with my blending tool to ink the white card stock to create the background of my card base
When you are using your distress inks do a little of each color at a time, making sure to overlay your colors. HINT: Make sure to start in a circular motion off your craft sheet and work your way into the stamped image, it will help you not to get a rectangular image showing on your stamped project.
Notice the edges of the stamped and inked cardstock has also been distressed with a distress tool prior to placing it on the card base. Lastly, stamp a winged image on to a scrap piece of cardstock using black memento ink and color in with your Copic Markers, fussy cut the image out place it a pop dot once you have placed  your metal clock face to the top.
I hope you try the technique of double stamping your images to give your projects a soft, faded look. Hugs Pammejo

Prima: Clockface/brad

IBSIC Inspiration Challenge #50

Today on the Inspired by Stamping Challenge Blog is the Inspiration Challenge of Light Blue, Light Pink and Light Green. Doesn't the above photo just inspire you to make something beautiful, I always love Joanna's inspiration pieces.
Here is how it inspired me. I love the Just Because Stamp, so many sentiments on one stamp set and there is a matching die that goes along with it. I used papers for Memory Box to create my card.
I added a some of Inspired by Stamping Pink Curly Flowers also to the front of my card along with some stick pins and a fun sheer bow to finish my card look, To give a bit more dimension to my label I placed it on pop dots. I hope you participate in the Inspired by Stamping Challenge this week and please make sure to check out the other designers projects. Hugs Pammejo

Graphic 45 Design Team 2013 Audition

I am so excited to see Graphic 45 is having their Design Team Call. Graphic 45 is one of my favorite paper companies and I have been anticipating this time of the year. I love how easy their paper and staples are so easy to use on your layouts, cards and altered projects. We are asked to create a minimum of 6 projects for the audition and have them posted on our blog by March 21, 2013, so if you haven't ever tried out for a design team this now is the time. .

On Jan 21st I was a Guest Artist for Graphic 45 which was so much fun...I want to share some of the projects that were featured on that  blog post. I created an altered book stand using a clock base that I found with Graphic 45 ABC Primer Collection.
I added several fussy cut embellishments that I had layered to the front on the clock base, adding some metal feet to creating the stand.

I made a fun 4 x 4 mini album of my grandchildren' first day of school to place on the stand.
My next project is an altered birdhouse that I made using Graphic 45 Happy Haunting collection. I love all of the fun papers that are in the collection.
This is one side of the birdhouse
 Another
and have to show the moon I created using and accordion folded circle from the paper.
I love to make cards...it is one of the things I do best...Here are two that I made using Ladies Diary Papers.
The tulle on both cards just give the continue vintage feel of  the paper, don't you think.
I made this fun altered box to give to a special girlfriend in my life when we were doing a gift exchanged at Christmas. I made it from the Nutcracker Sweet Collection.
Don't you just love the poinsettia flower I made from the paper. I know I do.
My fun Candy Jar is made from Olde Curiosity Shoppe and a Sizzix die. So fun to make and fill it with candy. I love the Pig Fly paper, how fun is that....
It's Your Day to Shine Tag was so fun to make using the lanterns from the Bird Song Collection and it was perfect for the gift bag that I gave to a friend.
I made a couple of layouts from Bird Song Collection...it was perfect for the photos I took when we were on vacation at VanDusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver.
I added a few of the fussy cut lanterns to both layouts along with a bit of black twine.
added a few butterflies, covered Graphic 45 buttons on top of a cake doily
and placed a hidden tag behind one of the photos with a Koren poem.
Along with the Tropical Travelogue I want to share the Hello card I made but I would love you to pay close attention to the flower bouquet that I  made.
Aren't they beautiful and the best part they are cut from the paper. I hope you have enjoyed seeing  my projects that I am sharing today for the Graphic 45 Design Team Audition. Fingers Crossed. Hugs Pammejo
