Welcome Fall with DecoArt Media and Joann's Debut

I am so excited to share with you that DecoArt Media Products will now be available in Joann's Online store and selected Joanns stores in selected areas. Is that exciting!!!! I am so thrilled because comparatively you receive a lot of bang for the buck you might say.
I am sharing with you a mixed media Welcome Fall Board I created using lots of DecoArt love....

I have included a free drawing of my pumpkins so you can recreate your own board!!!
How exciting is that!!!! 
So enjoy my step out photos of my Welcome Fall Board.
Paint board with Black Gesso, dry.



Apply Crackle Paste to dry board with palette knife.
 Allow the Crackle Paste to dry completely.
Mix 2 part Tinting Base and 1 part Colbalt Teal Hue

Paint over dry Crackle Paste. Allow to dry completely.
Stamp Industrial Stamp image on prepared board using Carbon Black. Allow to dry. 
Shade stamped board  with Colbalt Turquoise. Allow to dry. 
Apply White Gesso over Whirlpool Stencil using palette knife. 
Allow gesso to dry. 
Trace pumpkins on chipboard with pencil.
Fussy cut out. 
(Prepare pumpkins like the board was prepared as follows) 
Paint pumpkins with Colbalt Black. Allow to dry.
Apply Crackle Paste with palette knife. Allow to dry. 
 Paint stems Green Gold, dry.
Shade with Yellow Green Light, dry. 
 Stamp prepared pumpkins with Industrial image and Colbalt Black. Allow to dry.
Paint the tallest pumpkin with Vermilion, dry. 
Paint the medium pumpkin with Pymole Orange, dry. 
Shade with a mix of Vermilion and English Red Oxide, dry. 
Shade the medium pumpkin with Vermilion, dry. 
Paint smallest pumpkin with Cadmium Orange Hue, dry. 
 Shade smallest pumpkin with mix of Orange Hue and Naphithol Red Light, dry.
Highlight pumpkins with Hansa Yellow Medium using stencil brush, dry.
Paint "fall" letters in Yellow Green Light, dry.
Shade in Phthalo Green Yellow, dry.
Stamp "fall" with Industrial image and White Gesso, dry.
Using Sakura Micron 005 Pigma Black Pen, do random lines around letters.  
Using a Sakura Micron 005 Pigma Black Pen, do random lines on pumpkins. 
Adhere Pumpkins to prepared board with Americana Decou-page Matte
Adhere "fall" letters to prepared board with Americana Decou-page Matte
 Spray white card stock lightly with Red, Orange, Yellow Green, and Yellow DecoArt Media Misters. Repeat until paper is covered.  Dry. 
Using Fall Foliage leaf die cut out 6 leaves.
Crumple leaves up and place on front of pumpkins. 
Add twisted wire to front of pumpkins.

Let the Pie Making Begin with Stampendous!!!!

Fall is the most wonderful time of the year...and having fun with pumpkins are the best!!! I created a fun card using the Pumpkin Carving Stamp, it is so cute and just screams FALL!!!

Directions:
Stamp Pumpkin Carving image to white paper with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Color with Chameleon Markers. Corner chomp colored image and adhere to front of card.  Adhere 5" x 6 1/2" piece of orange card stock to front of card base. Corner chomp green card stock, adhere to front of card.

Haunted Plaque with DecoArt Mixed Media

 Mixed Media Haunts Challenge
Welcome to the first ever DecoArts Media Challenge. 
Goblins, Zombies, Witches...OH MY!!!
Join the DecoArt Mixed Media Design Team in a spooky 
Halloween challenge from October 1st through the 28th!  
Create your own Haunted project using DecoArt Media products.
 Make sure to submit using the Inlinkz link at the bottom of the 
Entries will be accepted until October 28th at 11:55pm.
On October 29th, Andy Skinner will choose his two favorite pieces. 
The runner-up will receive $50 worth of DecoArt Media product
 AND....
the grand prize winner will receive $100 worth of DecoArt Media goodies!
ARE YOU AS EXCITED AS I AM!!!!
 Halloween is right around the corner!!! Are you getting excited!!!! Well I am hoping my Haunted Plaques gets you in the mood to get those DecoArt Media Paints out and start creating!!!!
 I began my Haunted Plaque by getting a Coffin Plaque from our local craft store.
Cut Gina's Lasercut Texture Sheet to fit and adhere it to the board using Decou-page Matte. 
Allow to dry completely. 
Paint Coffin Plaque and three wood spiderwebs with DecoArt Media Black Gesso. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Apply DecoArt White Crackle Paste to prepared board.
Allow to dry completely.
Using a paint brush, paint randomly on prepared board with DecoArt Media Diarylide Yellow.
 Repeat with DecoArt Media Cadmium Orange Hue. 
 Repeat with DecoArt Media Blue Green Light.
 Repeat with DecoArt Cerulean Blue.
 Repeat with DecoArt Colbalt Blue Hue.
Allow to dry completely.
 Randomly stamp prepared Coffin plaque with Black Gesso and Industrial stamp image. 
 Stamp until you achieve the look you like.
Allow to dry completely.
 Stamp prepared spiderwebs with DecoArt Media Medium Grey Value and Industrial stamp image. 
Allow to dry completely.Allow to dry completely.
Using Americana Decou-page Matte glue prepared spiderwebs to prepared coffin plaque.
Allow to dry completely.
(Set to one side and paint pumpkins,) 
Paint three wooden pumpkins: one in DecoArt Media Diarylide Yellow, one in DecoArt Media Cadmium Orange Hue and one in DecoArt Media Pyrrole Orange.
Allow to dry completely.
 Pyrrole Pumpkin
 Randomly stamp Industrial stamp image using DecoArt Media Carbon Black.
 Paint Black around the mouth, teeth and eyes using DecoArt Media Carbon Black. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Shade pumpkin with DecoArt Media Naphthol Red Light, 
Highlight in DecoArt Media Diarylide Yellow. 
Paint Stem in DecoArt Media Yellow Green Light. 
Shade with DecoArt Phthalo Green-Yellow.
Allow to dry completely.
 Using a Sakura Pigma Micron #8 Pen to do line work.
Adhere finished Pyrrole Pumpkin to pattern paper, trim.
Set to one side.
 Cadmium Orange Hue Pumpkin
 Randomly stamp gears from Steampunk Shoes Stamp set with DecoArt Media Carbon Black.
Allow to dry completely.
 Shade pumpkin with DecoArt Media Naphthol Red Light. 
Allow to dry completely.
Paint stem with DecoArt Media Yellow Green Light.
Shade stem with DecoArt Phthalo Green-Yellow.
Allow to dry completely.
Apply DecoArt Media White Crackle Paste using palette knife and Americana Pixelated Stencil. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Using a Sakura Pigma Micron #8 Pen to do line work.
Adhere finished Cadmium Orange Hue Pumpkin to pattern paper, trim.
Set to one side.
 Diarylide Yellow Pumpkin
Using stencil brush, apply DecoArt Media Carbon Black with DecoArt Whirlpool Stencil.
Lightly stipple over pumpkin using DecoArt Carbon Black. 
Allow to dry completely. 
 Shade with DecoArt Media Naphithol Red Light.
Allow to dry completely.
Paint stem with DecoArt Yellow Green Light.
Shade with Naphthol Red Light. 
Allow to dry completely. 
Using a Sakura Pigma Micron #8 Pen to do line work.
Adhere finished Pyrrole Pumpkin to pattern paper, trim.
Set to one side.
 "BOO Letters"
Paint the "B" with DecoArt Media Yellow Green Light
Shade Phthalo Green-Yellow.
Allow to dry completely.
Paint "O" with DecoArt Diarylide Yellow.
Shade with DecoArt Pyrrole Orange.
Allow to dry competely. 
 Stencil BOO letters using Americana Pixelated Stencil, DecoArt Carbon Black and stencil brush.
Using a Sakura Pigma Micron #8 Pen to do line work.
Set to one side.
 Adhere the Pyrrole Pumpkin first to the prepared board. 
Add a fun paper bat die cut. 
Next adhere the Diarylide Yellow Pumpkin. 
Adhere a small plastic mouse in the eyes. 
 Last, adhere the Cadmium Orange Hue Pumpkin to the top of the stack.
Adhere the BOO letters to the plaque along with another plastic mouse.
 Paint a die cut "Haunted" using DecoArt Media Medium Grey Value.
Allow to dry completely.
Do a wash of the Yellow Green Light over "Haunted".
Allow to dry completely.
Shade in Naphthol Red Light.
Allow to dry completely. 
Using a Sakura Pigma Micron #8 Pen to do line work.
Adhere "Haunted" to plaque.
Add another plastic mouse.
Paint leaves using DecoArt Media Phthalo Green-Yellow and Naphthol Red Light.
Allow them to dry completely.
Add leaves to each of the pumpkins along with twisted wire.
