Let It Snow Canvas with DecoArt Media


 Let It Snow....Let It Snow!!!
Are you ready for winter?
Snowmen, shopping, trees, decorations and all the baking!!!
I am so excited I created a "Let It Snow" Canvas to celebrate the season!


Begin by first giving the 8" x 8" canvas a good coat of White Gesso. 


Lay stencil on canvas; apply Crackle Paste with palette knife. Dry.


Paint prepared canvas with a wash of mix of Cerulean Blue and Titanium White; dry. 


Paint over canvas with a wash of Primary Yellow; dry. 


Paint canvas with a wash of Paynes Grey; dry. 


Dry brush Cadmium Red Hue to prepared canvas; dry. 


Stamp background image with Carbon Black paint; dry. 


Lay stencil on prepared canvas; apply Titanium White paint using stencil brush; dry. 


Punch two circles from pattern paper. 


Add to front of canvas with decoupage with paint brush to create snowman; dry. 


Shade the snowman with Paynes Grey; dry. 


Draw scarf on pattern paper; add to snowman with decoupage; dry. 


Paint lines on snowman and scarf along with features of snowman face and heart with paint; dry. 
Using stencil brush and Cadmium Red Hue to create checks. 
Make dots with Titanium White; dry. 


Paint "Let It Snow" sentiment, snowflakes and icicles with paint: dry. 


Adhere to front of canvas.

"Feedom" Canvas with DecoArt Media

Happy almost Labor Day!!!
Are your ready for the holiday/
Well I am sharing with your my "Freedom" Canvas using DecoArt Media products along with Stampendous/Andy Skinner Stamps.
 Begin by first painting your canvas with Cerulean Blue, dry.
 Randomly brush strokes of Cadmium Red Hue over prepared canvas, dry.
 Repeat with Titanium White.
 Seal prepared canvas with Ultra Matte Varnish, dry.
 Apply light coat of Crackle Paint over prepared canvas, dry.
 Stamp with circle image from Curiosity Stamp Set using Carbon Black paint, dry.
 Stamp background image from Curiosity Stamp set with Carbon Black Paint.
 Paint inside of circles with a wash of Cadmium Red Hue, dry. 
Shade around inside edges of circles with Cadmium Red Hue, dry.
 Paint over canvas with a wash of Cerulean Blue, dry.
 Shade around prepared circles with Cerulean Blue, dry.
 Lay Shedded Stencil to top of prepared canvas, apply Crackle Paste to top with palette knife, dry.
 Adhere metal star and flower to center of prepared canvas.
 To finish my "Freedom" Canvas adhere metal corners to canvas.

"Believe in Nature" with DecoArt Media

Believe in the joys of nature this season as you walk through your yard or venture on a hiking trail...
Look for those pieces of nature....
Stones, feathers, fossils, etc.
"Believe" that nature has so much to offer for us to enjoy.
My canvas today is hoping to capture that joy!!!
 I began by first giving my canvas a coat of gesso. 
Allowing it to dry completely.
 Spray and spatter with Turquoise Shimmer Mist. 
Allow to dry.
 Spray with Primary Yellow Mister. 
Dab lightly with paper towel and allow to dry.
 Apply crackle paste using palette knife with Shedded Stencil. 
Allow crackle paste to set up.
 Stamp with background image and Carbon Black paint. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Paint chipboard with Titan Buff Paint. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Apply Radiant Red on large feather and Believe word. 
Apply Iced Espresso on medium feather. 
Apply Elegant Emerald on small feather. 
 Add Metallic Lustre to create depth on prepared feathers. 
First, apply Iced Espresso and Gold Rush to large feather and Believe word.
Then apply Brilliant Turquoise and Gold Rush to medium feather. 
Finally apply Iced Espresso and Gold Rush to small feather. 
 Adhere "Believe" and gears to the front of the canvas.
 Adhere feathers to front of canvas, layering them slightly on top of each other.
Create twine bow and place on feathers. 
 Adhere more gears and bird skull head to canvas.
 I hope you have enjoyed my "Believe" Canvas and that it inspired you to see nature in a new light.

Journey Canvas with DecoArt Media

 I am so excited to be sharing today my Journey Canvas!
I am enjoying my journey as I discover new media to work with. 
I especially love the Deco Art Media products and hope you enjoy my canvas.
 Paint canvas with white gesso, allow to dry before painting with a mix of Titanium White and Pyrrole Red. Allow canvas to dry.
 Dry brush with Titanium White, Pyrrole red and Colbalt Teal Hue. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Stamp background image with Carbon Black.
 Spatter with Carbon Black. Allow to dry completely.
 Apply White Crackle Paste using Doily Stencil and palette knife. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Apply Black Gesso using Industrial Elements Stencil and palette knife. 
Allow to dry completely.
 Paint daisy chipboard with Yellow Oxide, Yellow Green Light.
Highlight daisy chipboard with Titanium White, Viridian, and Burnt Sienna. 
Allow to dry completely. 
Adhere to top of canvas. 
 Do line work on painted daisy using pen.
 Paing metal bird and arrow with Colbalt Teal Hue. 
Allow to dry.
 Adhere bird to canvas.
Adhere arrow under "Journey".
