Today is the "Color Palette" inspiration at SNR Magazine...here is my "HO, HO, HO Card" that I made. I used Jillibean Soup "Apple Cheddar" paper along with Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight "Tis the Season Stripe and Merry&Bright Bands". I drew some little mittens for my card and cut them out. I am sure you can find a pattern online, in a coloring book or maybe using a digital die cut machine to make yours if you aren't able to draw them.
I thought they went well with the color palette of the photo.
I added bows made of different color twines to take on the stitching of the mittens in the photo. I also added a bit of Christmas washi tape from My Minds Eye over the top of the border that said Ho, Ho, Ho. I hope you try your hand at the color palette from Scrapbook News and Review, while you are there check out the blog and magazine for more inspiration. Hugs Pammejo

Dear Santa Layout - December Inspiration
Do you ever look around to see if you can be inspired by something unique, maybe a photo, a card, a picture, etc. Well today inspiration piece was the photo of an old typewriter with a message to Santa that is being shared at Scrapbook News and Review. I actually had my grand daughter Annie sit and write a letter to Santa so I would have it for her scrapbook. I used the Bo Bunny "Noel" and "Truly Believe" Collections for my layout. Don't you think it turned out perfectly, I know I do.
I love to add dimension to my pages, so with my layout I added a few pine leaves and cone that I had picked up in the miniature section of hobby Lobby.
So I hope every one is enjoying Christmas and celebrating this time of year. Love that you stop - by it is so encouraging to know that I touch each of you in an inspiring way. Hugs Pammejo

Blueprint Tree Christmas Tag
Having fun making my tags this year using Stampers Anonymous Blueprint Christmas Stamps. I stained my tag with Tarnished Brass and Fired Brick Distress Stains, it gives a great metallic shine to the tag base. I stamped my tree blueprint to the tag once it was dried. I stamped a second image on a piece of watercolor paper and colored the image in with my distress markers and water pen. Fussy cut all of the pieces on and placed them on pop dots. I put a bit of Glossy Accent on each of the small ornaments to give it a bit more dimension.
I added some washi tape from My Minds Eye and a scalloped border I punched from my Kraft Core'dinations paper using EK Success Flower Border Punch. After I got the borders on the tag I had to use my tiny attacher to place a few staples here and there. Last, I added a Tim Holtz Metal Christmas Deer, #25, Christmas Tinsel and Wrinkle Ribbon I stained. I sure hope you try some of the blueprint stamps and see how easy they are to use. Hugs Pammejo

Happy Holidays Card - Color Palette
Happy Holiday...can you believe only 11 more days to Christmas. It is so hard to believe how fast 2012 has went by. Today I made a "Happy Holiday" Card to go along with the Color Palette at Scrapbook News and Review. I used Heidi Grace Frost Blend Collection to make my card. I fussy cut one of the large snowflakes from a sheet of the paper, placing it over the line sticker label with pop dots. Make sure to tie your ribbon on before placing your snowflake on your card.
I hope I have inspired you to try the Color Palette for yourself and please go check out Scrapbook News and Review. Hugs Pammejo

Joy Tag with Tim Holtz
I looked at these draft stamps I can't even begin to tell you how many times, just couldn't decided if I liked them or not. WELL GUESS WHAT!!!! I am in love.... I seen the a tag on Tim Holtz Blog and just had to run out and get them. Tim is such an enabler, saying that in a wonderful way. I made my tag from being inspired by his.
Love the dimension of the snowman on pop dots, of course I love to fussy cut things out so this was right up my alley. My Joy letters are from Momenta, they were white and I stained them with Brush Pewter Metallic Stain. I was really surprised how well it took to the slick letters.
Finally used my distress markers, along with a H2O pen. He just turned out to cute and they were super easy to use. Make sure to stop by Tim's Blog to see all of the fabulous techniques. Hugs Pammejo

Monchromatic Pointsettia Card
Do you ever surf the internet, blogs, facebook, etc I know I do. A few weeks ago I seen a card done in monochromatic hues of white. I thought it was so pretty and thought I would have to make a card using the hues of white. I border punched the front bottom of my card base out using EK Success Abstract border punch. I cut two pieces of paper to fit the front of my card, punching one with the same border punch I had previously used. I then embossed both pieces using snowflake embossing folders from Sizzix and Lifestyle Crafts. Once done I placed them on the front of my card.
I made a beautiful poinsettia using McGills flower punch, tool set and mat. Once all of my flower pieces were rolled and formed I painted them with Glimmer Glaze. The Glimmer Glaze will help make them firm and hold their shapes. I allowed each piece to dry completely before I placed them together to form my flower.
I placed the poinsettia on the card front once my eyelet lace was on my card. I love SRM Sticker and the Season's Greetings! gives my monochromatic card just the right amount of color along with the red twine bow. The stick pins just gave my card the final touch that it need. I hope you try your hand on monochromatic colors. Hugs Pammejo

12 Days of Home for the Holidays Guest Spot
I am so very excited and honored that Debby Lewis of D's Paper Studio has invited me to be a Guest Designer for her 12 Days of Home for the Holidays for 2012. What an honor to be amongst so many talented designers sharing how they and their families celebrate the Christmas holidays. If you haven't had a chance to read and see the previous post I would love for you to go back and go through them. Thank you Debby for inviting me.
So today it is my turn to share how my family spends our Christmas season.
Our Christmas traditions always start at Thanksgiving when we give each of our family members a "special ornament". We started this when our first son got married and now 8 grandchildren it has become a tradition. Our ornaments are "special" because we try to find one that will commemorate something that has happen in their lives during the year. Sometimes we can find them at our local Christmas stores and other times we have to create something from wood, paper, clay etc. On each I have placed their name and year so as each future Christmas comes they can remember why they received their ornament.

"Countdown to Christmas"
Over the next week we get our Christmas letter and cards ready for the mail.
I love making my packages as pretty as I can, so I start early in the year making tags.

The
week before Christmas is always busy making some of our favorite
cookies and candies. We make 10-12 different cookies and 6 or so in
candies to be delivered to our neighbors and friends. One of our
favorites is Grandma Van Dusen's Peanut Butter Cookies.

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter

This recipe is wonderful to make thumbprint cookies using Candy Kisses.
On Christmas Eve we attend church for the "eve service", come home and finish up any little details that needs to be done prior to Christmas day since we know there will be early riser at our house. We have a day of celebrating Christ birth and enjoying each other. Hugs Pammejo

Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holders - Workshop Wednesday
Today on the SNR Workshop Wednesday I shared how to make a stocking gift card holder.
The first thing you will have to do is either draw your own stocking out, find one online, in a coloring book or maybe on your digital die cutting machine. Copy and cut the pieces out. Trace onto card stock, I used red card stock since it went well with my papers. Cut the pieces out.
On the back glue your pocket into place making sure not to glue the top closed.
Turn over add your pattern paper pieces, I sewed along the toe, heel and outside borders of my stocking as well as the cuff part of the stocking with my sewing machine.
Decorate your cuff before you adhere it to the top. I used Doodlebug Designs North Pole papers, die cuts, and twines for my stocking. When you place the cuff on top of the stocking make sure to allow just a bit of the gift card to show.
I added a couple of quilt squares to the bottom of my stocking, adding some twine and buttons. I hope you look around for holiday patterns that you might be able to make some fun gift card holders out of. Hugs Pammejo

Wish Card - Color Inspiration
I added Washi tape to the the front of the card but it actually goes over the fold and down the back. Doesn't it look like the lights in the background.
Here is a closer look at the Stampendous Snowman that I colored with Copic Markers. The background of the tag is a Memory Box stamp. My fun charm is made with an Epiphany Charm and Bauble, tied together with a few jewelery beads and some red twine. I hope you try your had at the inspiration piece and visit Scrapbook News and Review. Hugs Pammejo

Studio Reveal
So many have ask about my studio and where I create. I have been in a "design redo" and thought today while it was clean I would do a reveal. I hope you enjoy my studio as much as I do. The first picture is my walnut desk that has a fabulous window that overlooks the front of my neighborhood, great lighting is very important.
This IKEA Expidite is on the right side of the room with lots of storage containers from Itso.
On the opposite wall is a farm table I purchased at an antique shop. I use it for my embossing, die and digital cutting area.
Inside my closet is a smaller IKEA Expidite. Love all of my storage but still in the process of adding more totes and containers in black and pink. I hope you enjoy my creative space and for more photos I have added a link to a few more photos. Hugs Pammejo
