Today is the "Color Palette" inspiration at SNR Magazine...here is my "HO, HO, HO Card" that I made. I used Jillibean Soup "Apple Cheddar" paper along with Little Yellow Bicycle Christmas Delight "Tis the Season Stripe and Merry&Bright Bands". I drew some little mittens for my card and cut them out. I am sure you can find a pattern online, in a coloring book or maybe using a digital die cut machine to make yours if you aren't able to draw them.
I thought they went well with the color palette of the photo.
I added bows made of different color twines to take on the stitching of the mittens in the photo. I also added a bit of Christmas washi tape from My Minds Eye over the top of the border that said Ho, Ho, Ho. I hope you try your hand at the color palette from Scrapbook News and Review, while you are there check out the blog and magazine for more inspiration. Hugs Pammejo
Your card is wonderful! I love the distressed look of that paper and those mittens look so warm.

What a wonderful Card!Just lovely.
ReplyDeletePam, your card (and the individual pair of mits) are adorable! I like the wood grain--it ties so well with mittens. And you found the perfect complimentary paper for the bottom border. Beautiful girl!
