it is so much fun creating quick and easy slimline cards when you have beautiful paper and Ephemera to create with. 

This was created with two sheets of the Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper and two pieces of the Ephemera pieces. 

Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Collection!

Adhere red background paper to slimline card. 

Cut border from Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper; adhere to top of card. 

Fussy cut two Ephemera pieces from the Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper; add to top of card with pop dots. 

Add small jute bow to top of basket. 

Quick and Easy!!!!

Peace and Joy Art Journaling Pages - December Throwback Thursday

 

Are you ready to just create something!!!

Grab some of your favorite stamps, mix media, rub-ons, etc and play along with me through this tutorial! 

Peace and Joy Art Journaling Pages

with DecoArt is a fun and relaxing way to create during the holiday season. 

Grab your favorite art journal book and stamp set along with some holiday rubons and lots of Americana paints that you want to create with. 

Apply wide washi tape randomly to pages. 

Apply a light coat of DecoArt White Gesso paint over pages; dry. 

Lay a background stencil on page; apply DecoArt Crackle Paste to top with palette knife. Dry

Stamp Christmas images on white card stock using archival black ink. 

Fussy cut and adhere to pages. 

Gather DecoArt Americana paints in the hues you are going to work in. 

Paint background in light layers of a paint, blend as you go until you achieve the background you like. 

(I was going for a cloudy evening look.)

Make sure your background is dry and get in close to the images that have been adhered to pages. 

Paint images, dry completely before shading and highlighting.

Let pages dry completely. 

Add rubons to pages. 

Left Page of Peace and Joy Art Journal Page

Finish pages with line work using fine tip sharpie pen. 

Add dots with toothpick; dry. 

Lay snowflake stencil on pages; apply DecoArt Modeling Paste to top with palette knife. Dry

Line lightly stamped images with fine tip pen. 

Right Page of Peace and Joy Art Journal Page

Repeat some of the steps from the left side journal page. 

Add dots to poinsettia with toothpick. 

Spatter with pages with DecoArt Titanium White and Burnt Umber Americana paints. Dry. 

Enjoy Art Journaling with your favorite Deco Art Products.

Dear Santa....I love making layouts!

Sharing how to use my Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper to create a 12 x 12 Christmas layout. 

Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Collection!

Begin by layering fussy cut or strips of the 

Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper on to 12 x 12 white cardstock. 

Add a few of 49 & Market Christmas Rub-Ons around parts of the layout. 

Add mat photo to front of fussy cut wreath along with an Ephemera Sentiment piece using pop dots. 

Fussy cut red buttons from Vintage Gingerbread Christmas Digital Paper Ephemera Sheet add to layout with pop dots. 

Finish by adding tags and flowers to top of layout. 

Remember to have fun creating layouts all year long.

Season's Greeting Cards

Season's Greetings!

15 Days until Christmas. 

SO...

You still have time to make a few special cards. 

I am sharing two cards with two techniques using my Poinsettia Ornament along with my Season's Greetings .

First, add pattern paper to 5" x 6 1/2" card bases along with a mat paper piece and paper doily. 

First card is stamped with Poinsettia Ornament and black ink; colored with copic markers. 

Fussy cut out; add to card front with pop dots. 

Add jute bow, small ticket tag and red enamel dot. 

Second card is using embossing ink and Festive Red Sensation. 

Fussy cut out; add to card front with pop dots. 

Add jute bow, small ticket tag and red enamel dot. 

Enjoy making cards all year long.

Believe in the Magic of Christmas!!!

The air is full of holiday festivities.... but I hope you are taking time to do some creating! 

It is a relaxing place to be when there is so much going on this time of year. 

I am sharing a mini slimline card using my Frosty Night Collection from Blank Page Muse. 

It is a digital download collection, so you are able to pick and choose which papers and Ephemera pieces you want to create with. 

Begin by applying white card stock to a Kraft mini slimline card base. 

Die cut mini slimline using paper; add to front of card base. 

Fussy cut wreath: add to card front with pop dots.

Stamp sentiment with black ink on white cardstock; mat on Kraft paper. 

Add to card front with pop dots. 

Fussy cut snowman; add to front of card with pop dots. 

Enjoy all your holiday celebrations!

Joy Home Decor - December Throwback Thursday!

 

Hi Everyone, for the next month I will be sharing Throwback Thursdays! I hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorite holiday projects and follow along. 

I began my home decor piece by running a 7 x 7 piece of white card stock through Xyron Creative Station using Xyron Permanent Adhesive. 

Adhere a piece of Sizzix Cork Roll Surfacez Paper to fit on top.

Lay The Crafters Workshop Art Splatters TCW1043 Stencil, apply white gesso to top with stencil brush. 

Add prepared cork paper to frame. 

Create a Christmas bow using May Arts Christmas Ribbon, add to bottom of frame using Xyron Mini Glue Gun. 

To create poinsettias....

Die cut Sunflower Bigz L Die using Cork Roll Surfacez Paper; apply Emerald Creek Crafts Sensations Bronze Anther and Butterscotch Rock Candy to center cut. Set to one side

Repeat flowers using Emerald Creek Crafts Festive Red. 

(I die cut 3 sets using the Sunflower Die.)

Adhere flowers together using Xyron Mini Glue Gun. 

Create banner using the small triangles from the Geometric Box XL Die, Making Essential Matboard, and Cork Roll Surfacez Paper #663892 along with Bronze Anther Embossing Powder. Add to top of frame with Xyron Mini Glue Gun. Add sticker letters and border to top of banner. 

Add small chipboard natural snowflakes randomly to frame and on banner. 

Add prepared poinsettias to frame.

Add berries, pinecones, small gnome and leavers cut from green card stock around flowers.
