Good Friends Card with SinCity Stamps

I love how my "Good Friends" Card came together using SinCity "Time Well Spent" stamp set and I know the special friend that I plan on giving this to for Valentines Day

The first thing I did was embossed my background paper for my card. So get your white embossing powder, tidy tray, embossing gun, paper and "Time Well Spent" flower stamp together and lets begin to make our card

See how pretty the background turned out on my blue checker paper from the My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" paper pad. I then stamped the heart key stamp out twice along with the "Good Friends" sentiment on paper from the same collection. I punched out the sentiment to form a semi-circle along with a scallop circle to place above my border strips at the bottom of my card after I had tied my twin ribbon to the card front. My heart stamp I fussy cut the whole image from one of the stamped image and only the heart from the second layering it on top with a pop dot prior to placing it to the front of my card. I love metals so I had to add a key and hot air balloon to front of my card.

So no card is complete for Valentines Day without a bit of chocolate, so I picked up at Godiva Chocolatier bar and altered it to give to my Valentine.

I covered the candy bar with my My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" paper and added a fun stamped border along with the double key hearts and sentiment from the "Time Will Tell" set that I stamped with some blue ink. I stamped the double key hearts twice so I could fussy cut them out and add the second set of heart to the key with pop dots. Added a few of stick pins to my candy bar to make sure it looked as special as I could.

You Are My Sunshine Card and Sketch with SNR

Today is a sketch that is being shown on Scrapbook News and Review Blog. I hope you enjoy my take on it and try making a card yourself with the sketch, just remember to always give the sketch designer credit. Today sketch designer is Lucy Chesna Designs.

I used American Craft Fresh Squeezed Collection to make You Are My Sunshine Happy Birthday Card. You Are My Sunshine piece is actually a recipe card that I that I attached my gift card to the front of. I made a pocket to the front of my card my just gluing the two sides and bottom of the paper piece that I had decorated to the front of the card.

I added an accordion flower that I placed an epoxy flower over a lemon circle using an Epiphany Punch. The "happy" is part of a paper strip and the "birthday" comes off of a SRM Sticker. I also added some ribbon to the front of my card, to my recipe card and stapled them on with my tiny attacher. Ladies Diary Card with Graphic 45

Ladies Diary Card  is so elegant!!! It is made from the Graphic 45 Collection. I added some tulle under the Ladies Diary die cut to help soften the look of the green background, it always gives a soft look to your cards.

Don't you just love Tim Holtz metals, chain tassel, baubles and facets. I know I do so I just had to add some to my card to keep up with the vintage feel of my project. I use Glossy Accent on the back of my facet and then just place it over my picture. Allow it to dry before you cut it out or it will slip on you. Place it to the front of your card after you have placed your baubles on with jump rings and make sure to add your chain tassel to the bottom. Hugs Pammejo

Smile Like You Mean It Card

 SMILE!!!! I know how much we all love to laugh and have a good time but there are times.... I know at least speaking for myself there are times when I smile and I really don't mean it. I just want to be pleasant and so I force myself. The card I made today is a wonderful reminder to me and I hope to you to always enjoy the moment, the day, the event....and to SMILE like you mean it. Life is entirely to short not to. :) So let this be a day of inspiration and smiles!!!! Know that some one cares and that we are all loved even when we don't feel like it.

My card is made with using Basic Grey PB&J papers, die cuts and stick pins. Don't you love the stick pins I know that they make me smile. :) I placed my die cut on with pop dots added my red gingham ribbon and those wonderful stick pins to create a dimension to my card. Friend Card with Graphic 45 Ladies Diary

I love the Graphic 45 Ladies Diary, it just so vintage!!!! I made a Friend Card today using the collection. After I added my inked  paper pieces to the front of my card I then added some fun ribbon from American Craft. I added a couple of the Tim Holtz staples to help hold the Maya Road White Tulle ribbon into place. I added my stamped piece to the front on the card using pop dots.

Have you seen these fabulous frames from Prima. They come in white but I stained this one using my Tim Holtz stains and allow it to dry before you place it over your picture. Once it was dried I then glued it on my sentiment piece. I hope you try your stains on some of your light colored pieces to change up the look of your projects. Hugs Pammejo

Thank You Card - Graphic 45

Hard to believe that school has been in session for almost 3 weeks. I decided I needed to make a few thank you cards for some of my favorite teachers. I hope you enjoy this one I made using Graphic 45 ABC Primer Collection. I placed the die cut on pop dots once I corner rounded and inked the edges of it with Chestnut Roan ink from Color Box. Make sure to tie your ribbon around the die cut before placing it on the pop dots. My "Thank You" sentiment is from SRM Stickers, they are super fast way to add a sentiment to you project. I hope you take time this year to send your favorite teachers a card or a gift to acknowledge all of their hard work that they do through out the school year. It is never to early to start. You Make My Heart Sing Card

"You Make My Heart Sing" Card is such a fun card using the new American Craft Neapolitan papers. I used the Lucky Laugh and the Cheerful Notes to make my card with. I first embossed a piece of white card stock using Hero Arts Flower Pattern Background stamp along with Seafoam White Embossing Powder, once the power was set I rubbed Tim Holtz Dried Marigold Stain over the top of it and then just lightly pressed the stain over each of the flowers to give them depth. I took my EK Success Corner Chomper and did all the pieces for my card before I started stacking them together. I did place my embossed piece on pop dots because of the orange gingham ribbon, it helps it to lay flatter. I added my sentiment that I cut from the Cheerful Notes paper on pop dots also.
Don't you love the metal Clip from Making Memories it matched the paper perfectly and gave that extra touch that I was looking for; of course no project is complete without a bit of bling so I added some to the clip and to the sentiment.
I hope you try some stain on your embossing I am sure you will love the look. Hugs Pammejo

Graphic 45 Le Crique Copic/Stamping Altered Cigar Box and a GIVEAWAY!!!!

Do you love altered work? If you do today I am sure you will enjoy the details that I applied to the Cigar Box that I altered. I wanted something special for my BFF, so I decided I would make a Stamping/Copic Marker box for her since she hasn't had a chance to get any of the markers yet.
To begin with I purchased a cigar box from our local Cigarette store for $1.50, can't beat that. I decided I want the top to be extremely unique so I started by making a basket weave of 4 different pieces of Graphic 45 papers. The strips were 1/4" strips so it became very tedious to do the top but so worth it when it was finished. I also glued it to a piece of chipboard to give it more dimension.

If you love dimension you will definitely love the top of the box. I made some accordion flowers using my Tim Holtz flower die. The roses is made from a piece of paper that I tore making a circle, I began tearing it to form a spiral and then rolled it up from the outside part of the spiral using my tweezers.

Here is what the left side of the top of the box looks like. Don't you love all of the detail, do you see the elephant that is at the bottom of the box. He was fussy cut from one of the Graphic 45 Le Crique papers and placed on with pop dots

This is actually the lower right corner. The center of the accordion flowers are made using my I Top, one medium and one small I Top brad.

I decided to angle pictures so you can see all of the pieces a bit closer. I am definitely not a fan of flat areas, but if that is the look that you like it would be just as beautiful. See the Tim Holtz Pen Nib, I had to place it there because I was a 1/2" short on my blue satin ribbon but yet it worked out perfectly. Remember, there is no mistakes in scrapbooking or paper crafting it is just away to become more creative. Aren't the legs magnificent. I just love them.

This is the inside cover of the box. I tried very hard to keep it fun and circus like since my friend has a collection of clowns that she received from her mother in law when she past away.

Here are more of those fabulous elephants. I tied small red twin string to each of their tails to make it look like they were connected.

In the bottom left corner I added a Tim Holtz Clock Face and Game Spinner along with some Happy Birthday metals. I wanted it to look like I was telling my friend "Happy Birthday Time".

I fussy cut some of the LeCrique papers and placed it on the inside of the box lid, made a black string type wire and place my little acrobat on the string.

I made two compartments in the bottom of the box staying along the same theme. I added a ribbon to the right side of the bottom of the box and glued it to the top so it formed a hinge for the box.

Of course it wouldn't be a Copic/Stamping box without copics and stamps. I know as she gets more Copics she will either add them to the box or use the box for something else special. Sarah-using Kaisercraft Chantruese Collection

Paper Patch Crafts is having a layout contest using the Sketchy Thrusday sketch. I decided I would do the layout using my daughters photo of when she was about 5 years old. I selected the Kaisercraft Chantruese papers: Tremolo, Vivo, Eco, and Stacoto papers to do my layout in. I did my borders using the EK Abstract Flower and Deco Scallop border punches. I did use the Chestnut Roan Ink to do my distressing with.

My flowers were made from left over scrap papers and the Tim Holtz Flower Die. I inked the edges and used some of the Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze to make them stiff and shiny with glitter. The centers are made using my I Top.

I fussy cut one of the small birds from the tag sheet, added some American Craft ribbon and ribbon brad to my ribbon. My looped ribbon was made using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. All you do is make a small loop and staple it into place and do a repeat till you have the length you want. I always use a scrap of paper to staple my ribbon to.

Happy Birthday Autumn/March 1st with Imaginisce

Can you believe it is already March 1, the year is just speeding by and I am so far behind in my scrapbooking I think I feel a little overwhelmed at times. I do love it though and it is my way of relaxing. I am sharing with you today a layout that I made for little grand-daughter Autumn, today is her birthday and thought this would be away to celebrate her since she lives so far away. Happy Birthday Autumn.
I used the Imaginisce Birthday Bash, All Kinds of Happy and Apple Cider papers to do my layout in. I love Imaginisce papers they always flow so very nicely together.
Check out my presents, cakes, and of course my banner that I fussy cut using my detailed scissors. I placed all of the pieces on pop dots to give added dimension. I am beginning to think you can never have to many pop dots to go along with your bling. Hee, Hee, Hee. My bling was placed on using the I-Rock and the Metallic Pearl/Glam Rocks and I think I am falling in love with this new tool.

Oh and of course there is the twine. I love twine and ribbon. I placed my black and pink twine down as I placed my banner and balloons into place. It just gives a wonderful finished look.

World Card Day with American Craft

I used papers from American Backyard Collection to do my A2 card for World Card Day. Along with a Backyard Flair embellishment and a sticker from the Remarks Sticker Book. I stamped my sentiment from Hero Arts Friends Stamp. I then hand cut around the sentiment to form the leaf for my flower and added the sticker caterpillar to the top of the leaf. I used my zig marker to mark the stitch lines arund the leaf.
Here is a short tutorial on the flower. Punch one scallop circle from each of these Marvy punches. Take your scissors and cut toward the center on each circle. Once you have done this to all of the circles take your Glimmer Glaze and paint over the top of each circle. Allow them to dry and then stack and glue them to each other and place your embellishment in the center of the flower. You can then glue the flower to the card and bend the petals up a bit to give them dimension.
