Nicolette's Disney Birthday Bash Blog Hop - June 1st and 2nd

Today we are celebrating Nicolette's birthday, Happy Birthday Nicolette!!!! One of her favorite things is Disney so we were asked to do our projects in a Disney theme. If you came to my blog from Creating a Crafty Life than you are heading in the right direction for Nicolette's hop, if you popped in this weekend to see what I am up to I would like to encourage you to participate in the hop. For my project I created a card for my grandson Isaac, I love Mickey so I decided I would just stay traditional and use Mickey. My card is made by taking a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" red card stock and folding it in half so it is not the traditional size card though you can make it that way if you would like.


I love, love SRM Stickers, they are so easy to use and I really am not a sticker kind of gal but I do love these sentiment stickers that SRM Stickers produce. This one is so bright and cheery and goes perfectly with my Disney colored papers.


I used an EK JoleesBy You Cupcake and Mickey Mouse Club House Mickey for my card. I placed them on a piece of white card stock, took some of the pattern paper and made a header above the Mickey Sticker but first I added a bit of the Marchino Twinery to the header prior to gluing it into place and I also stapled the header down with Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I also used my Black Zig and did my stitching with it.


This is the inside of my card. I placed a piece of white card stock in the center of the inside cover, added a pocket to place Isaac birthday gift in and added some gemstones to the yellow trim. I also inked all of my pieces in Charcoal Chalk ink.


Again Happy Birthday Nicolette!!!! The next stop on the hop is with the talented Jenn at the Craftyful Gardens.
