Organization Tuesday and A Drum Roll.... the Winner is....oh and another surprise....

Ribbon: who does use ribbon in their scrapbooking, card making and paper creations. I know I do, some call me an addict of ribbon amongst many other scrapping collections (that is what I refer to them as collections). I have seen some string their ribbon on their Clip It Up, some using a hanger, some in ribbon cases with holes in it, some with ribbon rings.... all though are generally separated by color. I did try a few of these but when I travel to crops or just travel in general I found that I wasn't very satisfied with them always being in my way.
So I came up with this. I bought a 3" deep Option Container and took cardboard and made rows. Once I break open a ribbon roll I remove it and wind it up on my fingers and place them in small closure bags that I get from Hobby Lobby. I believe they are 100 for 2.99 could even be less. I just know that I love them for lots of things. I then place them in the container according to their color family. I do have a place on one of the outside rows for the ribbon that just doesn't fit quite anywhere. I place my full rolls just on top until I need them but once I open them that cardboard ring is gone.
One nice thing about Option Containers they have latches and don't come open. You ask well what about the wrinkles that occur from having them stored that way. Well I don't have a ribbon iron but I have the next best thing. I have a flat iron that I carry everywhere with me. I just put it on its lowest setting and iron my ribbon. How clever is that. I hope you have enjoyed my thought on a ribbon carrier. They stack, carry easy, I can see what ribbon I need and they are always clean.
I will share with you in the future what I do with my really, really wide ribbon.
Now on to the fun -announcing the winner of the my blog giveaway for all of those that left a comment and became a follower when we celebrated Jess' birthday on the KinderStampO's 34 Birthday Balloons and Counting Blog Hop!!!!
***Drum Roll Please.... the lucky winner is Shana...Great Calendar, Always great to start the year out. 5. I like your ribbon storage solutions. I would most definitely adopt that method if I traveled with my goods. This is how I store mine: http://spantastikreations.blogspot.com/2011/01/why-didnt-i-think-of-this-first.html and it's working great for me. I may use those little bags for storing my little brads, eyelets and what not. That may work really well for me.
