A Ladies' Diary Mixed Media Canvas with Graphic 45

Disclaimer Notice: I’ve received products/compensation from Graphic 45. This project however, is 100% my own project! Some of the links in this post are affiliate links. I explain more HERE!.

“Hello everyone! Are you as excited as I am when you find something new, something you are just clueless about! Recently I was in Florida and went into a fun scrapbook store to shop. Well, my eyes gazed upon the Finnabair Mica Powders…you know the feeling you get, your hands start twitching and you start doing a happy dance in your being and all you can think about is how to use it.  Well, that was me! I had to have some, I needed to try it… so that is what I did for you today. BUT I was a bit nervous so I watched a video, you know to see how to use my new-found mica and the rest is just the beginning of my story.  I am sharing with you today A Ladies’ Diary Mixed Media Canvas using the mica in both a spray and a mix with gesso.”

Begin by adhering chipboard to top of canvas and then apply a good coat of Gesso to the canvas; dry.
Lay stencil on prepared canvas; apply gesso to top with palette knife; dry.

Lay stencil back on to canvas over dry gesso; apply Texture Paste to top with palette knife; dry.

Hot glue metals and flowers to top of canvas. Paint gesso on your canvas, metals, flowers to help the spray and other mediums to grab to the products.

Mix mica with water in small misting bottles; spray on top of prepared canvas. (HINT:Keep small mist bottles and other small container on hand to store your own custom paints and mists.) Reapply spray until you get the depth of color you like; remember to dry between sprays.

Using stencil brush dab frames with mix of gesso and mica; dry. Repeat on canvas; dry.
Lay stencil on top of dry canvas; apply mica mix with palette knife.

Spatter prepared canvas, frames and chipboard frame with gesso and black paint; dry.

A closer look at the canvas...

Add photos to back of prepared frames; add to canvas.
(HINT: Small frames and photos create interest to projects.)

Add small metal wings...

Tricycles and clock framed or other to canvas.

Fussy cut small images, add tags and other Epherema to your canvas.
I hope you are inspired to create yourself a beautiful mixed media canvas using some fabulous Graphic 45 Products. Hugs Pam

Easter Tales Times Two with Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts

Good Morning everyone!!! Are you ready to start your weekend. Well today I am showing you how to use chipboard pieces to create 2 different projects using the same layout idea.

I first created an Easter Card using the Decorative Eggs and Damask Singles...

Begin by distressing the paper using a distressing tool; adhere to card base.

Give the Decorative Eggs and Damask Singles for both pieces a good coat of paint; dry.

Add paint color to the top of each piece for both card and tag. (Put tag pieces to one side when dry.)

Add prepared  Damask Singles to top of card front along with flower ribbon.

Adhere Decorative Eggs to top of pattern paper; fussy cut out.

Adhere prepared Decorative Eggs to front of card.

Make a pretty bow; add to front of card along with flowers. Add a few fussy cut butterflies from the pattern paper to the front.

Create one of the Chipboard Decorative Large Tags using the prepared Decorative Eggs
and Damask Singles. It is nice to see that each of these chipboard pieces come in sets of different sizes so they are easy to create unique projects using the same techniques. I hope you have fun making Easter projects using Gypsy Soul Laser Cuts Supplies. Hugs Pam

Friends Paper Weight with Die-Namites

Did you know we had a Friends Day this month...that was a new one for me but I thought okay I will create something special for a friend of mine. NOW...who will I give it to, lol.
I began my project by die cutting two to of the Regal Heart DN-1119 using a piece of pattern paper.
I love my Xyron Creative Sticker MAX, it works perfect for all of the Die-Namite Dies. I ran the two Regal Hearts through it.
Cut one Party Banner DN-1277 on  pink paper and then repeat using five different pattern paper.
Run the pattern banners from the  Party Banner DN-1277 through the Xyron Sticker Maker and place on to the pink Party Banner DN-1277.
Layer the prepared pattern papers together. Place Regal Heart Die DN-1119
on to green paper and fussy cut around them.
Add Regal Heart DN-1119 to back of layered pattern pieces so that the hearts form a scallop.
Add Party Banner DN-1277 to bottom of layered pattern paper, add twine bows.
Paint and add "Friends" and "Bird" Chipboard to top of layered pattern paper. Place on a paper weight. I hope you enjoyed my "Friends Paper Weight" project today and remember to  stop by the Die-Namites Blog and Store to check it out, don't forget to play along with us on the July  Die-Namites Sketch Challenge...details HERE!!!

Springy Toolbox - Art with Heart "Spring Break" Challenge Part 2

I am sharing with you my Springy Tool Box part 2... I made a Vintage Toolbox filled with a Vintage Kitchen Mini Album for  "Art With Heart Challenge". The Art with the Heart April challenge is all about "Spring Break" so make sure to stop by the Eileen Hull's Blog to check out all the details along with other fabulous inspiration. We are also celebrating the Eileen's New Vintage Travel Dies and you can see the collection HERE!!!!
I created four mini albums to place in my Springy Toolbox. I began by die cutting two pattern papers from Teresa Collins You Are My Happy Collection  along with 6 pieces of white card stock using the Recipe Card Die.  Once I had all my pieces for four mini albums I began cutting off a 1/2" from the bottom of each of piece and using a 1/16" corner punch the corners.
Stamp the front and backs of the 24 pieces of white card stock using Stampendous Grid Stamp and Colorbox Chestnut Roan Ink.
On the left side of each mini score 1/2" in so your pages will open easier. Once all are scored, stack and punch a two holes on the scored end. Tie a sheer pink ribbon to hold the mini album together. Decorate the front of each album using two of the Kitchen Label dies. Add Prima Fairies to front along with mini flowers and filigrees. Place in Springy Toolbox.
Here is a closer look at Eileen Hull's newest Vintage Travel Toolbox. If you would like to see more about the Vintage Travel Toolbox you can see it on yesterday's post or go HERE!!!
I hope you play along with us on the Art With Heart Challenge, I can't wait to see what you create. Hugs Pammejo
