Desktop School Organizer with Craftwell and Xyron

Hi it is Pam today here on the Craftwell Blog !!!! It is hard to believe summer is over. Here in Memphis school is back in session, not sure about other parts of the country.  So with the celebration happening with the kids being back in school, I made a Desktop Organizer for the teacher using Craftwell Cut N' Boss and Xyron's Creative Station.
I began by cutting 3 canister set using the Sizzix Canister Die, mat board and Craftwell Cut N' Boss using the two "A" plates. Leave one box at the 4 1/2" height but cut the side pieces of the other 3 boxes to measure: 2 3/4", 2 1/4" and 1 1/2" in height. (you will only need to cut 3 boxes because on set will be used for two boxes.) Paint the inside of pieces with DecoArt Black Chalkboard Paint.
 Form boxes.
Die cut pattern paper using the Cut N' Boss, two "A" plates and the Sizzix Canister Die.
Place die cut pattern paper into Xyron Creative Station to apply adhesive. Add to larger canister sides.
Continue placing pattern paper in the Xyron Creative Station until you get all the canisters covered. (You will love how fast this is to do since the Xyron Creative Station is able to add adhesive in 9" and 5" sections.)
Die cut one of the images from 8" x 8" pattern paper....
it is nice to be able to place your nesting die on the piece of pattern paper exactly where you want it and then be able to run it through the Cut N' Boss.  The large platform makes this possible and you don't have to worry about cutting up the whole piece of paper. (HINT: tap die down with washi tape prior to placing in Cut N Boss)
Run the pieces through the Xyron Creative Station. Did you notice the magic of the Xyron Creative Station? All you do is flip up handle inside the machine and change the 9" adhesive to the 5" adhesive and keep applying adhesive. It is nice to be able to save on adhesive, don't you think?
Run the adhesive pattern paper through the Cut N' Boss.
Decorate sides of boxes with pattern paper that has been die cut with adhesive backing.
Add a metal frame along with some paper embellishments to the sides of your Desktop School Organizer.
Add a fun knob and some raffia ribbon.
Maybe a fun banner to celebrate "School Days"
and don't forget to fill the boxes with fun and yummy school items.
Remember this is a week long collaboration with Craftwell and Xyron so don't miss out a single project from the designers of both teams!!!! Hugs Pam
