The August Art with Heart theme is "Choose your own Theme".
We are to use any die that is new to use or something that is old and make it into something new and exciting. So dig through your stash and get those Eileen Hull/Sizzix dies out and create something new and make sure to link it in the "Art with Heart" Blog.
We are to use any die that is new to use or something that is old and make it into something new and exciting. So dig through your stash and get those Eileen Hull/Sizzix dies out and create something new and make sure to link it in the "Art with Heart" Blog.
I began by first cutting out two of Eileen Hull/Sizzix Luggage Tag and two of the Make It 3-D Tag boxes.
I formed both the Make It 3-D boxes, one for the bottom and the other for the top. First place the Luggage Tag pieces to the bottom inside of box. (You will need to trim the sides a bit) Apply the DecoArt Crackle Paste to the formed piece and to the other Make It 3-D Box, allow it to dry and make its magical crackle.
Once the crackle has set. Paint over the top with the DecoArt Quincridone Red. Go over again with DecoArt Yellow Oxide Paint.
Die cut two Sizzix Decorative Strip from Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection.
Place on the Luggage Tag House. Paint with Quincridone Gold and then with the Patina Green Antiquing Cream. Allow it to dry.
Add a cute little resin water fountain to the inside of house box. I used elements from the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection and sticker sheet to decorate my Luggage Tag House with.
On the top of the house I made a sign using the tag from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Sticker Sheet. Die cut one of the birds from Eileen Hull/Sizzix Birds and Butterflies. Place on top along with some moss and a watering pitcher. Add a few fun pieces to the watering pitcher.
Place a journal piece to one side of the Luggage Tag House and fussy cut a second piece and place on pop dots. Make several butterflies from the paper pad and place randomly on the Luggage Tag House.
Decorate the other side with pieces from the Olde Curiosity Shoppe, adding a metal key hole and key.
I hope you enjoyed my Luggage Tag House using the Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection along with Eileen Hull's fabulous dies. Remember you can use any die that is new or old..."Choose Your Own Theme" make sure to link it in to the Art with Heart Challenge Blog. I can't wait to see what you will come up with.
