Challenge #8 Show us Some Metal or Glass
Do you hoard gears, pins, brads, eyelets, frames, and other metal do-dads? Do you have a thing for tiny light bulbs and glass vials? Do junk drawers make you giddy? Do you hang out in office supply stores so you can score funky paperclips? Do bottle caps make you swoon? Dig through your hoard to find something metal or glass (or both) and make a project to share with us on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog by just linking up your project with Mr. Linky.
I started my card by distressing several different layers of the Inked Rose Collection from WeR Memory Keepers...oh I just love this new collection, don't you? Once I had all the fabulous papers applied to the front of my card, I stamped the honeycomb stamp using black ink. To make your heart: Stamp the heart onto Rose paper, add sentiment using black ink and fussy cut them out; I did this twice so I could layer them together for the front of my card. Making a beautiful bow with Really Reasonable Ribbon ribbon is a delight; it is fabulous to work with, the ribbon bow makes the most wonderful addition to my card. Love my new butterfly stamp so of course had to do a double stamped image, fussy cut them out and placed on my card to make it look like it was getting ready to fly away. NOW...to part with a bit of metal and glass, lol...I dug in my hoards and found these little light bulbs with stamped sentiments and thought the "Love" one would work perfect and used a metal fixture at the top along with a glam paperclip...I think it was just what my "You're Fabulous" Card needed to give it that finished look.
I also want to share with you that both companies have shared a bit of love with our friends that visit the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog...don't you feel the love!!!! So check them out....
