We are excited over on the Artist on the Block Blog...we are having a month long blog hop with the Design Team from Altered Pages....how exciting is that!!!! For my project I created what I call my "Hope, Joy, Love Block".
I used the XL Scoreboard ...using one large and one small to create my piece along with the Altered Pages Watercolor ATC Collage Sheets and Graphic 45 Birdsong Collection.
I covered each of the block with Graphic 45 Birdsong Paper and added the Watercolor Flower ATC to each side of the boxes along with some pretty ribbon.
Here is a closer look at how well the Watercolor ATC pieces work on the blocks...the fun layered butterflies are from the Altered Images I Collage Sheet. I copied them twice so I would be able to cut the butterflies out, connect them in the middle and create the look of them in flight.
I glued a large painted spool to the top of the large block and took three pieces of paper to create the look of fabric hanging off the side.
Make sure to add some fun legs to your project....
I filled the smaller box with flowers, beads and fun doll ...of course added more of the butterflies I created. Well, I think this is going to be a gift that I am going to be giving to some special someone this Mothers Day and hope I inspired you to do some creating with your Artist Blocks...Make sure to check out Altered Pages Store along with the checking out the May Challenge with Art from the Heart.
