"Spring Break" Art with Heart Challenge - Vintage Travel Release

Today I am sharing with you my Springy Tool Box  I made for the  "Art With Heart Challenge". The Art with the Heart April challenge is all about "Spring Break" so make sure to stop by the Eileen Hull's Blog to check out all the details along with other fabulous inspiration.  I began by first distressing all my Vintage Travel Tool Box die cuts out using Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

Repeating again with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink...

Following lastly with the Tea Dye Stain...this will create the Salmon color for your Vintage Travel Toolbox and give it that Springy look.

Stamp each of the Vintage Toolbox using Colorbox Chestnut Roan along with Stampendous Stamps Wired N Studio Stamp Set.

Apply DecoArt White Crackle Paint using the Tim Holtz Burlap Stencil and palette knife. 

 Once the DecoArt Crackle Paste is dry on all the  Vintage Toolbox  you can decorate. I placed a  fun door knob on the top of my Vintage Toolbox. Wrapped and tied a pink sheer bow around the door knob along with a metal key and charm. Added flowers.

 I love metal and flowers...so had to add a few pieces to the front and top of the Vintage Toolbox.

I add a metal bead to each side of the Vintage Toolbox.

April Sketch Challenge with Die-Namities

Hi Die-Namites Fans

 April reveal for this month's Sketch Challenge and Dare is up and running!!! 

Are you ready!!!

  Thank you to Tonya Gibbs for creating this month's sketch!

We thought this month we would mix things up a bit with a 

Color DARE.

With Spring being here it always brings on the desire for bright and cheerful colors to create with.

 So grab a piece of watercolor paper and your Blooming Carnation Die-Namites Die and cut out several die cuts.

 It has been awhile since I used watercolor pencils and just had to tryout Prima's Scenic Watercolor Pencils on the Blooming Carnations diecuts. 

 I colored the stems in two shades of green watercolor pencils as well as doing the flowers using two shades of yellow.

Using the oranges and sherberts colors in the set add color to your flowers.

Run the burlap and flowers when dried  through the Xyron Create a Sticker Maker....

Add burlap and flowers to front of card base.

Taking a Micron Black Pen light outline leaves, stem and flowers. Add Flower Soft to centers of flowers. 

Emboss a sentiment and mat, place on card front along with another of the Blooming Carnations die cuts.

"Spring Break" Challenge - Art with Heart Challenge

Today I am sharing with you my project I made for the  "Art With Heart Challenge". I decided to make an autograph mini album to take with me this fall (but you can make it for any time of year including this Spring),  I am going on a  Mixed Media Cruise!!!!  I thought the new Vintage Luggage Tag from Eileen Vintage Travel Die Collection would be perfect. It is the perfect size for me to carry in my apron and I will be able to get it out easily to get autograph in and to place small passbook size photos in when I return home.

The Luggage Tag is made in one solid piece that folds in the center. I cut four pieces of small paper from  Graphic 45 Transatlantique Collection to make my inside pages, folded in half. Then I used a 1/16" hole punch and punched two holes in each page and the Luggage Tag Seam so I will be able to add my pages when they were decorated.

Here is a closer look at the pages, a couple include tags.

I wanted each to be unique so the artist could decide which page they would like to sign.

I love to fussy cut and these journal pieces that come in the collection were perfect for that and just the right size to be included in my itty bitty mini.

I tried to leave enough room on each page to add a passbook photo of each of the artist from the cruise when I return home.

Don't you love the vintage feel of the paper collection?

More hidden tags and....

Fabulous pockets.

The back page was a perfect place to place the year using stickers from the Transatlantic Alpha Sticker Sheet.

Once all your pages, tags, etc are made thread brown through the holes that were punched and tie into a bow at the Luggage Tag Fold. I love the leather piece I used to clasp my Passport Luggage Mini Album together but you can use ribbon, twine, etc to do the same thing.

Do you notice the small labels on each side of the pages...well they are from Eileen Hull Kitchen Label Die...don't forget it okay to mix those fabulous dies up that Eileen designs so beautifully for Sizzix.

Happy Easter Bag with Xyron

 Wow!!! Can you believe Easter is this weekend!!!! I just thought about it being this weekend and decided I better make up some quick and easy Easter Candy Bags to give to a few of my little friends.

To create your Easter bag by cutting a piece of 8" x 12" pattern paper. Using the We R Memory Keepers Bag Punch board punched the paper according to the direction on the board... BUT...

 As luck would have it my Teresa Collins Mega Runner needed refilled, open the lid, take out the empty cartridge....

Add a new cartridge...

 Close the lid and you are ready to use your Mega Runner. Adhere adhesive down the side of the bag you punched out. Once adhesive is applied to side and bottom,  shape bag.

Color the Stampendous Calendar Chicks with markers.

 Using your Xyron Mega Adhesive Runner mat colored piece and blue mat together, place on bag front.

 Run  Medallion Die through your Xyron Create a Sticker Maker...

 Cut Medallion Die in half while it is on the adhesive sheet, placing half on each side of the matted Calendar Chicks that you placed on the front of bag.

I love the Adhesive Dots from Xyron...so I added a couple to the stamped Happy Easter Flag...

Place under Calendar Chicks, add a few gemstones and you have made a fabulous, easy and fun Easter Candy Bag!!!! Hope you have a wonderful Easter and thanks for stopping by. Pammejo
