Card Kit Make Over Week 2

I hope you enjoyed the two cards that I shared with you last week, if you missed it they are on the May 31st post. Here is first of the two cards for this week. It is the Thinking Of You card that is in the kit. I use the card back, pink polka dot, flower paper and stripe piece that were in the kit. I added a piece of Cosmo Cricket Delovely DeLectable paper that I punced a border with using my EK Diamond Lace punch. I also distressed all of the edges with my Tim Holtz Distress Tool and inked with my Chestnut Roan Ink.
Here is the original card that you are able to make from the kit.

I cut my dress form from the Tim Holtz Sewing Room Die and Grunge Paper and a piece of stripe scrap paper that I had in my paper stash and glued it to the top of the dress form. I inked the dress form with Tim Holtz Walnut Distress Stain, added some white tulle that I had gathered at the waist along with some white sheer ribbon and a flower from Tim Holtz Trimmings. I added the RubOn from the kit to finish the card.

Here is the second card from the kit and here is how I transformed it.
I used the card base, flowered stripe paper, scallop edge, Smile Chipboard and It's All Good die cut from the kit. I inked all of the edges with my Chestnut Roan Ink. I added a We R Memory Keepers Doily that went under the flowered stripe paper and scallop edge.
I palced my "Smile" chipboard piece on pop dots and added some colorful gemstones under the good of my diecut.

I hope you are enjoying the transformation of the card kit and will see you next week on the June 14 for the last two cards.

Card Kit Make Over Week 1

Today I am excited to share with you my first week on Card Kit Makeover. I will be showing 2 cards a week over the next 3 weeks that I have transformed from a kit. If you are like me I am always looking for a great buy and I came across this card kit awhile back and bought it. This weekend I decided to put them together but when I got out the pieces I decided I really needed to do more with them and so I did. My first card photo is how I tweaked the original card. I used the card base, pink and rose dotted pieces that came in the kit along with the stitching RubOns. I added my Kaisercraft Happy Birthday RubOns along with some banners that I stamped with my Hero Arts Hello Flags and Memento Black Ink.

Here is the original card that you were to make from the kit.

As you can see the Kaisercraft RubOns and Hero Arts Hello Flags really make the card very special. Notice that I placed my flags on pop dots after I cut them and added some tan twine for a streamer.

Here is the second card that I would like to share with you. This is the original and here is what I did with it..

Again I used the card base, scallop edge and Thank You RubOn that came in the kit.

But....before I added the scallop edge and Thank You RubOns I stamped the top right edge and bottom left edge of the card with my Tim Holtz Filigree stamp. (This is one of my favorite stamps and I use it quite often) I then added my scalloped edge, added a piece of light blue twill ribbon. I stamped both ends of my ribbon using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. To finish this card I placed my RubOns just off center of the card and added a fabulous dimensional silk flower to left front of the RubOn.

I hope you have enjoyed my card kit make over and look for the next two that I will be sharing next week from the same kit.

Hippity Hoppity Easter Paint Pail

Hard to believe that Easter is just a week away. I made this little paint pail from Stampendous for one of my grand kids and I planning on filling full of Easter treats. My cute little bunny die cut is from We R Memory Keepers and I took some of the SRM Stickers eggs to and placed them on the bunny and in the grass that I made using my Martha Stewart multi blade scissors. On the SRM Sticker Easter sheet was this sweet tag, I just had to add it to my pail to share that Easter is definitely on its way. On the lid I made an accordion folded flower that I had punched with one of my border punches before made my flower. I added one of the SRM Stickers to the top of my scallop circle. If you have never made one of these paint cans I would suggest you get you one, they are super easy and super fun to make.
