Winter Wonderland Cards with Xyron and Derwent Academy


Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
Let's create this holiday season with our favorite Xyron and Derwent Academy products!

to create my holiday card set. 


Add a few drops of water to create a wash. 


Apply wash to one sheet of 9" x 12" Derwent Academy Heavyweight - 24 Sheets Acrylic Paper using the 1/2" Derwent Academy Artist Brush to create background paper.  Dry. 


Spatter with Derwent Academy Titanium White, Scarlet and Black Acrylic Paints to finish background paper. Dry. 


Die cut prepared background paper using the Sizzix Deckle Die. 
Stamp background stamp to top of prepared die cut using Derwent Academy Burnt Sienna Acrylic Paint; dry. 



Adhere pattern paper and prepared background paper to top of 4" x 5 1/2" card base using Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive. 






Die cut Sizzix Vintage Tidings from Graphic 45 Winter Wonderland pattern paper and brown card stock. 


Adhere sentiments to prepared front of card bases.


Fussy cut prepared poinsettia flowers from paper; form with tweezers. 
Add to front of card front along with a twine bow, chipboard circle and gemstones.

Coffee and Friends are Perfect Together... with Xyron and Derwent

Hi Xyron fans! What goes better than having coffee with friends but creating with Xyron and Derwent Academy Products!!! I created a fun card while having my morning coffee doing just that!


Begin by stamping 2 of the coffee images on to Derwent Academy Heavy Weight Marker Paper (50lb weight) 9" x 12" Pad using black ink. Color the images with Derwent Academy Water Soluble Markers (20 Markers) (There are 20 markers in the box so lots of beautiful markers to choice from.)


Adhere pattern paper and border strip together using your Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.


Adhere to card front.


Run a small piece of the Derwent Academy Heavy Weight Marker Paper (50lb weight) 9" x 12" Pad through the Xyron Creative Station Lite with Permanent Adhesive. 


Die cut Splat from the prepared paper.


Repeat to cut 3 splats.


Emboss splats while they still have the adhesive on the back with Aroma Just Java and Chocolate Dream embossing powder.


Remove adhesive from the back of embossed pieces and add to front of card. Add circle to front of card with pop dots.


Scallop punch one of the colored images out using scallop punch. Adhere to front of card with Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.


Stamp sentiment using black ink, adhere to black card stock with Xyron Tape Runner with Permanent Adhesive.


Adhere small flag and fussy cut flowers to top of card front.


Wrap brown twine around card; tie in bow.


Fussy cut second colored image and add to front of card with pop dots. Add enamel dot!

Tropical Beach Coasters and Charms with Xyron Laminate Adhesive

Good morning to all of our Xyron Friends....
Do you love to host parties, events or other social gatherings!


 Today I am sharing how to create a fun and fabulous Tropical Travelogue




Begin by stamping Tall Tropical Drink image on to Derwent Academy  Textured Surface Watercolour Paper.
Color stamped image using Derwent Academy Watercolour Pencils. 
Blend colors together using Derwent Academy Artist Brushes. 


Fussy cut Tall Tropical Drink cuts out. 
Die cut 2 circles. 
Run paper doily, smaller circle and drink image through the Xyron Creative Station Lite using Permanent Adhesive. 


Layer pieces together. 


How to change the Xyron Permanent Adhesive Refill to Xyron Laminate Permanent Refill to create coasters. 

3. Place coasters through the Xyron Creative Station Lite. 



Remove access laminate from around coasters. 


To create Tropical Travelogue Coaster Box
1. Open the packaging up for a Xyron 5" Refill Box. 
2. Cut apart as shown in center photo. Cut sides to measure 1". 
3. Form box with scraps of pattern paper and adhesive to secure sides of box. 


Adhere Tropical Travelogue to box using
Add border strips to edges of prepared box. 
Add gemstones  to box. 
Add jute to edges of box. 


Place knobs under box. 
Add small twine box, flowers and leave to prepared box. 



Cut small postage stamps from the Tropical Travelogue; laminate. 
Add small wires to top of laminated pieces to create charms.

Clear Gemstone
