Clowning Around with SinCity Stamps Blog Hop

Welcome to our Clowning Around with SinCity Stamps...I hope you have a fabulous time hopping through all the talented designers to see what is happening under the "Clowning Around" Big Top. Just click on each of the links to see what is happening...most important is to have fun after all you have come to a circus....
I made an altered box for my project to share using the Clowning Around Stamp Set along with the Urban Grunge set, after all you have to have a place to put all your fabulous prizes, tickets and treasures at.
I began my stamping a piece of yellow card stock with Brown Memento Ink. I inked my stamped and stamped it three times before I re-inked this will give you a great shadow/collage effect on your paper.
Once this was done...I used my blending tools and three different colors of distress inks to ink up the yellow card stock so it would look a bit more vintage to go along with my pattern papers.
Once I achieved the look I was going for I place it on the center of my box and added my pattern papers.

Here is a closer look, can you see I meter the corners of the paper prior to placing it on the box and adding the metal corners. It makes the stamped image look like it has been framed.
I stamped my ticket from the Clowning Around Stamp Set with embossing ink and Seafoam White Embossing Ink.
I colored the fun jack in the box clown in with Copic Markers and added it as well as my embossed ticket to the front of the picture wheel that I had die cut out and placed to the front of my box.

I added a painted hinge that I die cut out and stamped when it was dry with a small gear stamp set from the Clowning Around Stamp to the top of my box along with the "Laughter" bottle that I colored in with my Copic Markers.
I thought the little tied on dice would be a fun accent to add a bit more to my box.
Here is another look at the front of the Clowning Around box. I hope you take a look at all of the fun and fabulous stamp sets at SinCity Stamps.
