Don't you love mosaic, that is what this layout sketch reminded me of that I got off the Scrapbook News and Review Blog. I never do layouts of myself but I thought what the heck and so this is what I came up with....
I call it "Sweetness" not because I am sweet, LOL but because of the time we had at Van Dusen Botanical Gardens in Vancouver. Everything was so beautiful and the smell of all of the blooms were just so sweet.
I love Kraft papers and I remember that I had this My Minds Eye collection, so I had to pull it out and use it. Don't you love the chipboard pieces, I know I do. I added a bit of brown twine to the buttons and to the border that I punched out using my EK border punch.
For my companion page I just kept up with the theme of the mosaic only I did it my way.
It truly was a fabulous day and I think of it often as one of the "Best Days Ever" that I got to share with my sweet husband and dear friends.
I can't help but to smile at how silly we were all being that day. It was truly a blessed day in Vancouver. So, if you have never tried working with mosaic I hope these layout encourage you to try it out and make sure to check out SNR and see what other inspirations you will find. Hugs Pammejo
