Guest Designer Day YAY

Hi everyone and Good Morning to everyone around the world.  Today is the day that me and Pam swap blogs and are guest designers on each others blogs.  She will be featured on mine today.  Thanks so much for swapping today :D  If you are craving her post click HERE to head to my blog.   The card I want to share with you can be for a friend or someone special.

This is a standard A-2 Card.  I used the Create a Critter Cartridge for the  tree stump (cut at 8 inches) as well as Freshly Picked for the cute Gnome (cut at 3.5 inches).  Don't you just love him. :D  All of the paper I used is form DCWV or Stampin UP.  I gave my gnome little google eyes and a stickled  glitter beard.  Twine from thetwinery was used in the background.  Three mini cloths pins were used to add a masculine feel.  I wrapped a piece of fine leather around his hat to add dimension as well as a pearl on the tip and on the edges of the card.

Thanks again Pam for letting  me post.  Have a great week everyone.

Hugs and Blessings,

  1. Hi Meighen ... Aren't those MEN in our lives so hard to design cards for??! Your Gnome-Sweet-Gnome is adorable. Had to laugh though: my man wouldn't think of clothes pins as "masculine" as THAT chore is all mine. (UGH!!!) In fact, I just struck a deal with DH: if you put AWAY the laundry, I will fold it. If you DON'T put it away, it's staying all crumpled up in the laundry basket unfolded and you'll have to dig through it to find your tighty-whities. WELL!!! That didn't last long. The baskets piled up and up to the point that I had to go out and BUY a new laundry basket. I was sticking to my guns until I realized the man had an ulterior motive: the dang laundry baskets blocked access to my upstairs craft room!!! So a'foldin' we did go, this a.m. I'll try ONE MORE TIME to get him to put just HIS laundry into his drawers (yup, his drawers in his drawers).

Also, when I looked at the "tree stump", for some warped reason, I saw "bear skin rug" (with bark???!) ... I guess it was sort of a Rohrshack (sp?) test for me. And YES, that's masculine, in my world. So it works!! Cute, cute, cute.

So nice of you and Pam to swap from time to time! :)
