Sketchy Thrusday - "Baby Love"

"Baby Love" is a layout of my grand-daughter Annie. I took this picture in April 2006. The "I Do" papers from American Crafts were the perfect papers to work my layout in. I used Hyacinth (35051), Gerber Daisies (35040), and Dahlias (35044). I also used a few Doddlebug All Mixed Up ABC Lily White rub-ons, part of the My Minds Eye Spring Flower Tansfer(TRT149), some clear 2mm gemstones from Mark Richards and 7mm pearl gemstones from Darice Finishing Accents (M5364), 2 Prima Flowers that I painted with Tim Hotz Rock Candy, American Crafts Elements Glitter Buttons (85423) and I also used about 11" of tatted pink ribbon.
See the dimension of the Hyacinth that I made when I fussy cut the shape and then stacked the layers using pop dots. I love to fussy cut especially when you have a piece of paper that has an already made embellishment on it. I call it "looking beyond the page". Pretty cool how it turned out.

I also fell in love with these Glitter Buttons from American Crafts Elements. They are so gorgeous with all the sparkly on them. I tied small pieces of white embroidery floss in knots on each of them and then attached them to my page with glue dots. Love to mat my photos so I used the backside of the Gerber Daisies paper and just a piece of dard grey cardstock.
