Craft Hoarders Blog Hop with Prize

Welcome to this quarter of the Craft Hoarders Blog Hop!!!
If you came from Tracy's Blog you are heading in the right direction!
TODAY...
I created a Trunk and matching card to share today using Eileen Hull's Trunk Die that I love
AND...

Authentique Paper I bought in 2012 and never broke the seal to the package til this week.

I love the black and white hues of the paper with its hints of green.
I die cut the Trunk from chipboard and pattern paper
BUT...
once the Trunk was covered I thought it need some color...
SOMETHING....
to make the Trunk pop with a bit more beauty!

So I grabbed two Copic Markers and colored some of the images in.
Fussy cut them out to form flowers and leaves.

And created some pretty flowers for my Trunk.

Added one to the front and one to the top of the Trunk after I had added a handle to the top.
Adding some pretty ribbon to the handle finished dressing up the Trunk!
Don't you think it gives that vintage feel and look by just doing some simple things to finish dressing it up?

I created a beautiful card to match the Trunk.

Begin by first layering card stock and pattern paper to the top of card front.
Add more of the gingham ribbon to the top of card.

Add one of the journal blocks that comes with the kit.

Add another flower and leaf that you created using the pattern paper and markers.
Add a small die piece to the center.

I hope I have inspired you to grab some or look for some black and white paper to create with...give it a bit of color and see if there are any images you can fussy cut out to create your own embellishments.
Your next stop on the hop is with our talented Bonnie on the Make Time To Craft Blog!

Bee Yourself with Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team

"Bee Yourself" is a wonderful way to start the New Years don't you think?
I hope to create my art this year that will always be true to myself, make the things I love and always try to inspire my fans.
Today I sharing a technique I hope will inspire you to try.
SO...
grab your Eileen Hull's Embossing Folders,  some of your favorite paints and a brayer.

Begin by putting small dots of paint on a craft sheet and blend with brayer.

Apply to inside of embossing folder using brayer.

Carefully lay a piece of white card stock to top of prepared embossing folder.
Close.
Place inside of die cutting machine to emboss.

Remove paper  and allow the prepared paper to dry.

Ink over top with distress ink using blending tool.

Adhere black and burgundy card stock to base of card.
Add prepared embossed card stock to top of card base.

Stamp image to burgundy paper with Ebony ColorBox Blends.

Die cut Romance Flower and Spring Leaves from pattern paper.
Ink edges with Nutmeg ColorBox Blends.

Mist prepare flower and leaves with water.
Crunch up a bit and form them into crinkly flowers parts.

Twist wire using Twist and Style Tool.
Wrap around a small dowel to curl.

Die cut button jar from chipboard and pattern paper using Button Jars and Label Die.
Adhere paper to top top of chipboard.
Add twine.
Place on card with pop dots.

Cut wire to place behind jar to for stems.
(Only adhere the bottom of the stems, bend the top part up so they will be in the air.)
Add leaves.

Stamp "Bee Yourself" using ColorBox Ebony Ink onto pattern paper banner.

Add prepared banner to top of card.

Layer flowers together.
Add to top of wire.

A closer look so you can see that the flowers are added to the top of wire so it will give a more live like poise, instead of them laying flat on the card.

Add inked label to front of jar along with a fussy cut butterfly from the pattern paper.

So "Bee Yourself" this year....
FREE to be inspired to create....
Trying "NEW" techniques....

To help out make sure to check out Eileen Hull's Inspiration Blog for fabulous inspiration and techniques from Eileen Inspiration Design Team.
Hugs Pam
