Peace Card with Couture Creations Peace and Joy Embossing Folder

Can you believe that the holidays are just around the corner, so it is never to late to start thinking of making your Christmas Cards, decorations or gift giving ideas....Couture Creations has a new Wrapped in Joy Embossing Folder Collection so get ready to see some amazing inspiration from the design team. Today I would like to share with you my non-traditional  "Peace Card" using the Peace and Joy Embossing Folder.
I started my card by running a 5" x 7" piece of white card stock that I cut on my Couture Creations Precision Trimmer through my embossing machine.
I repeated with my purple and blue card stock along with some pretty stripe paper.
I love to fussy cut so that is what I did with my Peace from the blue card stock as well as following the embossed lines to cut the stripe piece using my Precision Scissors....may I say these are fabulous, so precise.
I rubbed the Purple Glitzin Glamour to the top of each of the ornaments with my finger tip and with a piece of scrap paper I kissed each ornament to pick up the Glitzin Glamour that may have gone on of the image line.
I then took the paper piercer from the Handheld Essential Kit and with them tip placed a bit of the Aztec Gold Glitzin Glamour over the top of each of the string embossed lines.
I used my Couture Creations Foam Dauber and a bit of Concord Grape Ink to ink the edges of my white card base prior to putting it together.
I layered all the pieces to the top of my purple card base using Couture Creations Double Sided Tape.
Add the "Peace" embossed image that I had previously fussy cut to the top of the stripe strip with Couture Creations Foam Tape.
Making sure to place a pretty bow to the top of each ornament....
of course make sure to add a few Blue Gemstones to the strip and "Walla" you have just made a lovely nontraditional holiday card.
You can see all the Wrapped in Joy Collection on the Couture Creations Website. Hugs Pammejo

SinCity Stamps Art Journal Page

Art Journaling Pages are all the rave right now.....so I thought why not give it a try....lol, so here is a sneak peek at a part of my page using SinCity Stamps Art Journaling with Terri Sproul Stamp Set and  Birds and Clocks Stamp Set.
So here is my first page...so let me share with you a few of the simple steps to make it but remember every page will be uniquely done because no can control the spray of the mist, the depth of the modeling paste, etc but you will get an over all feel of the project as you read on....
I began by die cutting out to large Tim Holtz tags, one from chipboard the other from a piece of white card stock, gluing them together (I use glue sticks) and adhered them together.
I stamped my Art Journaling brick background stamp with the Memories Black ink, stamped it in a couple of places on the tag. I then used another of the background stamps and this time I inked the stamped, stamped on a piece of scrap paper and then stamped on my tag to give it a muted look.
I sprayed the tag several times with Lemon Zest, Squeezed Orange, Postbox Red, and Cut Grass Green Dylusions Spray. To get the look I wanted I sprayed several light coats of each color, dabbing off between spray, letting it dry and respaying. It took a bit to do it but you can speed up the process by using a low temp embossing gun.

I stamped my Clock Stamp from the set onto white card stock using Memories Black Ink, cut it out....
Sprayed it with the Lemon Zest, Postbox red and Vibrant Turquoise using the same technique I shared on the tag.
I stamped my calendar page that I am using for my art journal book the two different flourishes from the Art Journal Stamp Set using Memories Black Ink.....
I also used the word journaling stamp and Memories Crimson Ink at the bottom of the calendar page, I sprayed the page with Lemon Zest and Melted Chocolate Dylusions Spray and allowed it to dry before I continued.....
Once dry I used a stencil, modeling paste, and a palette knife to put my texture along the page sides and the circle clock I have cut out. Make sure to allow the modeling past to dry completely or you will have a smeared mess.....
Once the paste has completely dried I laid my tag down to get placement for the Art Stamp I was going to be stamping on my page using Memories Art Print Brown Ink, Mare sure to move your tag before you start stamping......and once finished stamping adhere into place.
I added a few brads here and there to my project.....

Along with metals, gemstones, a flourish I painted with a Red Pepper Paint Dabber, ribbon, word stickers from Little Yellow Bicycle....

Make sure to check out all the fun stamp sets at SinCtiy Stamps, please feel free to follow our SinCity Stamps Blog and we also have a Pinterest account if you aren't aware of that. I also hope you try your hand at art journaling I know I had a great time making my first page and the Memories Ink stamps are the way to go when using sprays and mist. Just sayin'.....Hugs Pammejo

Snowman Christmas Bag, Card and Tag using Build a Snowman Stamp

Inspired by Stamping is releasing the Build a Snowman Stamp Set....I used the set to make a fun gift bag and a card with.....I am sure you know it is starting to be the time to start think of Christmas and we all need to have gift bags, so what better way to have them but to make them for your love ones.

To begin with I bought a green gift bag at my local craft store and some pretty pattern paper.....
I placed my corner chomped snowflake paper to the top of the bag along with the papers that I had matted and decorated once I had tied my gingham ribbon around the matted papers.....
I stamped my snowman, hat and banner from the Build a Snowman Stamp Set twice so I would be able to layer them all together. I stamped the snowman with black ink and the patch and stocking hat with red ink colored some shading in with a light blue copic marker on the left side of the snowman. I stamped the banner using green ink and colored the center of the Joy letters in with a light yellow copic marker. I fussy cut both snowman and hats out and layered them together with pop dots after I had tied his ribbon around the snowman neck, added a bit of thick glitter on the left side using a glue pen. I fussy cut one of the "Joy" Banner completely out including the streamers and then the second set I only cut the stars out, layered that stars on top of the banner with pop dots and added it to the top of the snowman that had been placed on the bag front. I repeat the thick glitter on the hat band and pom pom.
I added a fun tag from the Holiday Tag stamp Set that was shared on the Inspired by Stamping Blog on September 8th. I stamped the tag with red ink, added my "To" and "From" with black ink, stamped and fussy cut the holly with green ink and added them to the top of the tag prior to attaching it to the bag.
For my accompanying card I placed my pattern paper on my white card base. Stamping my snowman from the Build A Snowman Stamp Set on to a piece of white card stock with black ink and the patches in red ink, matted on light blue card stock and shaded the snowman on the left side with a light blue copic marker. I shaded under the snowman using a light grey copic marker to make it look like snow and then with my embossing pen randomly squiggled lines and embossed with white embossing powered. I colored my "Let It Snow" sign with two shades of green copic markers. Finally, I stamped the snowman hat on scrap white paper with red ink, colored the white squares with a light lavender copic marker, attached it to the top of the snowman head, added a bit of thick glitter and a snowball gemstone to the hat....adding a red twine bow and a few lavender to gemstones the card front and snowman.
I hope you check out all the rest of the fabulous projects using the Build a Snowman Set at Inspired by Stamping. I hope you get lots of inspirations from the following Inspired by Stamping designers.   Hugs Pammejo

Inspired by Stamping Holiday Washi Tape Release

Today Inspired by Stamping is introducing the Holiday Washi Tape Stamp Set on the Inspired by Stamping Blog. I would love to share with you one of my holiday cards using the Holiday Washi Tape Set. I started by stamping three of the Christmas images (there are also fall washi stamps on the set) on to white card stock using cantaloupe, red and green ink, trimming them into strips to place on my card base that I had covered with pretty pattern paper.
Here is a closer look at the strips of stamped washi tape once they have been cut and placed on the card front and gemstones added.
I stamped the sentiment using he Holiday Tags Stamp Set that is also being featured today. I stamped the tag using green ink, fussy cut around it,, stamped the sentiment on with black ink and placed in on my card front with pop dots. I hope you check out the designers blog to see both of the Inspired  by Stamping releases and thank you as always for stopping by Scrapbook Flair. Hugs Pammejo

Just Friends Card with SinCity Stamps

Today I am going to share with you a very simple distress ink technique to make your "Just Friends Card" with. So to start with get your SinCity Birds and Clock Stamp Set and Art Journaling with Terri Sprouls Stamp Set, Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe , and Tim Holtz Wild Honey, Fired Brick, Broken China Distress Inks
To begin with I used a Couture Creations Scallop Nesting Die and Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe print paper to make my circle, I inked the edges with Wild Honey until I achieved the look I was after
I did the same technique only this time on the largest circle from Couture Creations Nesting Circle Die Set using Fired Brick and Broken China and cream card stock...
I then started stamping my filigree from the Art Journaling with Terri Sprouls Stamp Set randomly on my distressed circle with black ink....
until I got it completely covered...make sure to let the stamp go off your circle so it doesn't look so uniformed.....
I adhered it to my distress scallop circle....
Taking the scraps left from the printed paper that was left over from the scallop circle I stamped my bird in flight from the SinCity Stamps Birds and Clocks Set using Tim Holtz Embossing Ink and American Craft Navy Embossing Powder.
Once I had my birds embossed I inked over them with Tea Dye Distress Ink to give them a antique look though remember embossed images act as a resist so the ink only went on the light printed paper to darken it up.
I fussy cut each bird image out and layered them together with pop dots to place on the front of my card...
Here is a closer look at the bird in flight.....
I took a piece of scrap paper and inked it with Broken China....
Stamped "Just Friends" to the top and added small small filigree to the top with Tea Die ink. I trimmed and  added it to the front of my card with pop dots.
I hope you are encouraged to get your SinCity Stamps, distress inks and play around with a super easy technique to make a fabulous card.....Hugs Pammejo
