Presents Are On The Way

There is a Sketch Challenge over at House Mouse & Friends to celebrate their 2 year anniversary and they are having a wonderful giveaway. This is my take on the sketch using a House Mouse stamp, Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl papers and some Sage Flower Soft.

I distressed some of my paper using Tim Holtz distressing tool. My House Mouse image is colored in with Copic Markers: V15, V17, YR04, YR07, R24, R27, R29, B00, B02, C1, C3, R81, R83, N3, W10, E00, E31, E35, G14, G17, Y15, and 0 (Colorless Blender Pen).

"Give Me Your Candy or Else!!!!!

Just had a birthday and receive a fabulous present, a Pink Cricut Expression!!!! This is my very first project on it. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge to create my 7" Tag. I also had a Stampendous Stamp set - "Costume Kids" from last year that I hadn't ever used so I thought this would be a fabulous image to do up and to put on one of my Grandchildren Halloween Treat bag. I used Memento ink because that works the best with Copic Markers.

I had a Scrapbook Page Kit from Making Memories that had all the embellishments in it so the tag went together very quickly. The Scrapbook kit is called Halloween 2 (#28010). I just added a piece of Black Cardstock and a scrap of white to stamp my image on. The Copic markers that I used on my image are V12, V15, V17, B00, B02, E00, E33, E37, C1 and W10.

Of course no tag is complete without adding a little Distressing. I used Tim Holtz new Tiny Attacher (Stapler), Dusty Concord Distressing Ink with a Blending Tool, and the Tim Holtz Distressing Tool to distress the edge of my black mat. Enjoy!!!

Tuesday Trigger: Light and Bright

I liked the straight lines of the architectural design of John Barman's Miami Home. I used the ric rack in my representation of the lines. Love the colors of the blue, yellow and pink. My ribbon represents the ocean as the tags shows off the separation between the furniture and the water.

Cherish the Moment

Here is another altered book that I made with my husband. Calvin did all the stamping using the Chip Art Tool and Mallet. He likes it as much as I do and I think he is as talented as I am or maybe more. LOL

The reason I say this is because he had his first book published 9 months ago, "If Those Shoes Could Talk". It is a book on what your shoes would say if they really could talk and if you are like I am I would be a little scared to see what my shoes would be saying.

Simon Says Stamp and Show

Here is a book that I made for the Tim Holt Challenge that is going on over at Simon Says Stamp and Show with a donation from Simon Says Stamps.


I used the new Sizzix Distress Crackle Embossing folder on my chipboard board book and than using my Snowball Dabber I dabbed paint on my cover, when I dried I distressed over the top with the 3 different distress inks wiping off with a lightly damp paper towel over the top of the distress inks after they were applied to expose the white dabber.


I painted my grungeboard skull head with black, when dried add the Aged Mahogany ink over the top. I then applied Glimmer Glam to the top to make it nice and shiny. I also distress my Lifte Stories tags, once everything was adhered to my book I applied Glossy Accent to the eyes and nose holes of my Skull. The last thing I did was add my ribbon and metals to the book cover.

Sketchy Thursday September GDT Challenge

Here is my take on the sketch. I used Crate Paper for my layout of my little grand-daughter Annie

"Generation Frame"

This photo is a three generation photo of my son Matt with his dad and grandma. This was probably one of the last photos of them all together. It gave me great joy to do this project and brought tears to my eyes.

I used the GCD Artsy Urban Collection - Colored Birds and the Ella Blue Collection- Grace and Raleigh. My frame is from Creative Imaginations. I first painted the frame using Cremcoat Spice Brown, once it was dried I paper craft the front of the frame, inked the edges with Chestnut brown ink and added lace, flowers, gemstones. I made some of fabulous spiral flowers that was featured in a previous tutorial, and added some spiral twigs from some flowers I bought from Hobby Lobby. I made some leaves using some sheer green ribbon. Hope you enjoy and try making your own decorated frames.
