Day 3 - Vintage Christmas Explosion Box with Ornament

Day 3... create a fun explosion gift box using a page kit and embellishments from your stash. 

Adhere papers to each of the pages inside and outside of explosion box. 

Photo1: Add die cut doily to center of bottom of box along with sentiment embellishments.

Photo 2: Decorate each of the pages with a 1/2 of doily die cut at top.

Photo 3: Add embellishments to each page.  

Photo 4: Add a fun ornament or other item to inside. 

Photo 5: Decorate back of pages. Add photos or notes to each page. 

Photo 6: Create pockets; add paper clip embellishments along with hidden items in pockets. 

Photo 7: Create pockets for gift cards, decorate each pocket with paper tape and embellishments

Photo 8: Add decorated mats to back of pages for photos or notes. 

Decorate outside of explosion box with embellishments and die cuts. 

Enjoy creating fun and unique gift boxes filled with fun surprises.

I am super excited to share my HOPE Wall Hanger during this trying time of Covid-19 and with our communities starting to open up!!!

Crafting is a fabulous outlet for our soul whether we are part of the working force or at stay at home!

The fabulous thing is JOANN'S has an online shop as well as physical store! 

Begin by applying pretty paper to top of 8" chipboard circle!
Apply modeling paste over stencil with palette knife; let dry. 

Adhere chipboard to top of prepared circle. 

Apply Sensation Bronzed Anther Embossing Powder to "HOPE" using embossing ink; heat set with embossing gun. 

Adhere prepared "HOPE" to top of wall hanger. 

Die cut flowers  using die with DCWV Petal Paper. 
Layer flowers together and connect with a small brad; crunch flower petal paper up. 

Create different sizes of flowers using die and DCWV Petal Paper. 
Adhere to HOPE Wall Hanger when done. 
Add bow. 

Finish HOPE Wall Hanger with a small metal arrow and key!

Build Castles in the Air....

Build Castles in the Air! What a super way to create a home décor piece with using two of Graphic 45 Epherema Cards from the Imagine Collection.  Place one in a white washed 5" x 7" frame using Xyron Creative Station with Permanent Adhesive.  Fussy cut the second and place the image on top with pop dots.

Die cut Diamond Press Flower Dies using the Diamond Press. Shape flowers with a soft mat, stylus and tweezers. Adhere to top of frame with chipboard filigrees and paper leaves.

Add twine bow.

Razzle Dazzle House Note Pad Holder with Eileen Inspiration Team

I hope you have been enjoying the last few months as Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team is sharing "unique" projects using her dies.

Over the next few weeks Sizzix have a Maker Challenge they are showcasing Eileen Hull's House Pocket Die.

I created a Razzle Dazzle House Note Pad Holder using the House Pocket Die, Make It 3-D Die, Birds and Butterflies Die and  Stitchy Flower & Leaf Thinlits to create my "unique" piece!

Begin by cutting 2 of the House Pocket Die from thin chipboard; cut one like the photo above.

Die cut two of the Make It 3-D Die; cut in half. Adhere together to form narrow box.

Adhere pattern paper to top of formed box.

Cut pattern paper from House Pocket Die; adhere to chipboard.

Lay stencil to top of prepared chipboard; apply paste using palette knife. Dry.

Cut window and doors from pattern paper using the House Pocket Die; adhere to prepared chipboard.

Adhere prepared house to back of box.

Adhere jute to top of roof line of house.

Adhere jute around edges of box rim.

Cover second House Pocket Die using pattern paper.

Adhere to front of box.

Add small button to front of House Note Pad Holder.

Adhere small beads to bottom of holder.

Die cut Stitchy Flower & Leaf  from pattern paper.

Form flowers; layer together with metal brads.

Adhere to front of box; along with some chipboard pieces.

Hi everyone!

I hope you are enjoying the Xyron Blog Hop with DCWV!!!

Today I created a Eclectic Travel Journal using DCWV Eclectic Chic 12 x 12 Paper Pad and fabulous Xyron products.

Begin by cutting the Journal Die from mat board and pattern paper.

Run the pattern paper through the Xyron Creative Station using Xyron 9" Permanent Adhesive.

Adhere the prepared paper to top of journal.

Lay stencil on top of prepared journal cover; add paste with palette knife. Dry.

Glue covers together at bind.

Add burlap to binding using Xyron Mega Runner.

Run pattern paper and sentiment through Xyron's Creative Station.

Add prepared paper to mat board; die cut out.

Ink edges of prepared clock; adhere to front of journal.

Trim around adhesive sentiment; corner punch.

Repeat with pattern paper.

Layer together; add to front of journal with pop dots.

Die cut label out with mat board and pattern paper; adhere together using Xyron Creative Station.

Fussy cut travel from journal block; adhere to top of label.

Add metal airplane charm to front.

Punch scallop from pattern paper; run through the Xyron 1.5 Sticker Maker.

Add to tags and tag pocket.

Decorate tags with DCWV Journal blocks and ribbon.

Add sentiments to front of page and tags with pop dots.

Decorate inside pages with stamps, DCWV Eclectic Chic pattern paper mats, strips and sentiments.

Add enamel dots.

Mist wrinkle ribbon; squish up and allow to dry.

Tread prepared ribbon carefully through pages.

Thread ribbon through the burlap binding.

Make bows.

Add metal charms, arrow and metal pieces to cover.

Die cut latch from mat board and DCWV Eclectic Chic pattern paper.

Adhere together with Xyron Creative Station.

Add handle to edge of latch.
