LOVE To Sew Playing Card

LOVE TO SEW PLAYING CARD

Do you love to sew or faux sew?
Create fun playing cards with hand or machine stitching or rub-ons!
Apply your favorite 49 and Market, paper piece scraps to the playing card.
I used stitching rub-ons, so apply them now! 
Add a fun tattered lace doily to card!!!
Layer bits and pieces of ephemera. 
Add a metal button along with a die cut flower to front of card.
Finis with a bit of sewing tape to top.

Day 6 - Christmas Spectacular Gift Box Ideas


Christmas is in the air!!!
Now it is time to think about wrapping possibilities and using unique ideas!


Eileen Hull Designs makes it easy using dies from Sizzix.


Die cut Stacking Box using Sizzix matboard, form and decorate!
Easy Peasy!


Add a few floral decorations, metals, bows, etc.


Decorate all sides. 


Simply Magical Tiny Gift Box and Believe Stacking Drawer Gift Boxes were created using 49 & Market Christmas Spectacular Collection. 


Add small white deer to front of box along with small circle ephemera piece. 
Add invisible Velcro under circle to for closure. 



Enjoy making fun and unique gift boxes for Christmas and all year long.

Day 1 - Sunday Fun Day ... Advent Calendar

Sunday Fun Day
Advent Calendar!!!
It is never too early to start planning special projects and activities for advent and why not start December with a project from the past! 
 
Advent Calendar that I created using in 2023 using Eileen Hull Designs Field Notes and SpecimenEnvelope Folder and Flowers Thinlit Dies and Sunflower Die #666045 using 

Begin by cutting 4 of the Field Notes and Specimen from chipboard, cover with red card stock. 
Lay two prepared pieces upside down add a piece of white card stock to back to hold them in place. 
Sand edges with sand block. 
Die cut two of binds using Full Size Journal bind. Cover with red card stock. Adhere prepared back to prepared side pieces to form advent box. 
(HINT: Add small brads to Advent box before decorating inside. This should be done prior to decorating outside of Advent Box)


Cut 24 small envelopes using Envelope Folder and Flowers Thinlit Die.
Form envelopes. 


Punch border strips from pattern paper; add to each side of bind. 
Add 5 prepared envelopes to inside left part of Advent Box. 


Apply rub on to inside of Advent Box. 


Decorate with Ephemera inside. 
Add small strip of pattern paper to inside of bind to create a uniform look. 


Continue adding prepared envelopes, ephemera and rubons on the back and right cover. 


Trim numbers ticket to size; add to top of envelope. 
Make sure to leave room for invisible Velcro pieces. 


Add Velcro pieces to each envelope to create an easy way to open each envelope. 
Fill each gift card with special Bible verses, small gift items, candy etc. 




Use a large Ephemera piece for Day 25. 
Add to right inside cover with pop dots. 


Add tag to inside of Ephemera piece. 
Great place to add a hidden gift card. 


Adhere pattern paper to outside covers. 


Use label for enclosure. 
Add a holiday rub-on to inside part of label. 
Adhere doily ephemera to cover before adding prepared label.  


(HINT: Add small brads to Advent box before decorating inside. This should be done prior to decorating outside of Advent Box)
Add Ephemera to front of box. 



Die cut flowers using Sunflower Die; layer together. 
Add to front of Advent Box. 
Die cut and add leaves from Festive Gatherings
Add small metals to inside of flowers. 
Add bow. 



This is a super easy Advent Calendar and hope you give it a try this Advent Season.

Naughty or Nice Gift Box


Welcome to Nov 15 Comfort and Joy!!!
Are you already gift wrapping?
Trying to find unique and pretty boxes to place those special gifts in?

To create you Naughty or Nice Gift Box die cut pieces from chipboard and form. 
Add pattern paper to box. 


Add black twine to edges of box for a finished look.
Wrap sides of lid with washi tape. 
Adhere pompon ribbon to top of box base. 
Die cut small doilies and punch pieces from 49 & Market paper. 


Add ephemera pieces to the sides of the prepared box. 
Die cut flowers and leaves. 
Add to sides of box. 



Decorate top of box using metal lantern as the top pull. 
Add prepared flowers and leaves along with ephemera. 


Add small ribbon bow. 


Create a star from the ephemeral pack by layering together and adding Glossy Accent to center, dry. 
Add to top of lantern.

Have a Holly Joy Christmas Card


Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!
Sharing two cards with two techniques using my Holly Leaves Ornament along with my Holly Jolly Sentiment Stamp.
First, add pattern paper to 5" x 6 1/2" card bases. 
First card is stamped with Holly Leaves Ornament and black ink; colored with copic markers. 


Fussy cut out and add to front of card with pop dots. 
Add fussy cut holly leave from pattern paper to front of ornament. 
Add Tile Blue Ribbon to top of ornament. 
Stamp  Holly Jolly Sentiment Stamp; mat on blue pattern paper. 
Add to card front with pop dots. 


Second card is "embossed". 


Stamp red pattern paper with embossing powder using embossing ink. 
Apply Glacier White Embossing Powder to top of embossing ink; heat emboss. 
Fussy cut ornament out. 
Add Tile Blue Ribbon to top of ornament. 


Stamp  Holly Jolly Sentiment Stamp; mat on blue pattern paper. 
Add to card front with pop dots. 


Finish by adding enamel dots to card fronts. 
Enjoy making cards this holiday season.
