Today on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog the challenge is all about Vintage/Retro. I created my layout using Graphic 45 Secret Garden, love their papers and staples because they just scream Vintage/Retro to me. Also, our host for the month of March is Graphic 45. Graphic 45 is an award-winning scrapbook and paper
crafting company—
owned and operated by a mother (Diane Schultz) and her two daughters
(Aimee and Charee Filimoehala). Together they create vintage inspired
crafting products that capture the flamboyant style of the 1920's and
30's - with vibrant color, irresistible texture and imaginative design
to create products with decades-old appeal that's both fresh and
familiar. Let our products inspire your next scrapbook layout, card,
album or home decor project. Please visit the Graphic 45 Website or
Facebook page and thank them for hosting our blog for the month of
March. So let's see what you can make in a
vintage or retro style.
A few of the things I hoard is flowers, lace and metals. I thought they would work wonderful on Graphic 45 Secret Garden layout, so I used a lot of flowers, a small Secret Garden journal die cut that will slip into the pocket folder, ove that idea because it is like having a bit of a "secret" on my page and a bit of metal. The lace is pretty old, I bought it at an antique mall and have been hoarding it for a special project and finally, finally used 12" of it, lol.
Here is another little tag and a few more flowers along with bling from Want2Scrap.
I made a banner from some of the Secret Garden Die cuts, fussy cut lilac banners, a photo, added a frame from K&Company and couple of other metals. If you click on the photo you will be able to see that I hand stitched my banner to the top of my page.
So do you hoard lace or vintage hat pins? Do you
snap up all the postcards at yard sales? Do you love mid-century modern?
Do you long for avocado appliances and orange shag carpets? Show your
vintage or retro spin on a paper crafting project and play along with us at the Challenge Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog
Graphic 45 is giving us this wonderful prize package to give to our winner of Challenge #3, so get your Vintage/Retro projects loaded into CHACB Blog for a chance to be selected.
