Basic Grey Sketch Challenge 7/2/12

 Wow, nothing like waiting to the last minute to enter the Basic Grey Sketch Challenge but that is exactly what I have done. I hope if you have never done a challenge that this might inspire you to try it out. Basic Grey has regular challenges, they are always fun to do and the bonus is you get a fabulous sketch to use and to have for your collection of sketches. That always makes me smile. So here is the sketch for 7/2/12.

 

 This is my take on the sketch: I used Basic Grey What's Up papers and envelopes to make my card. I made my ribbon border by using the EK Success Inch Border Punch. Wow.... can you believe it is the first time I have used it and I guarantee I will be using it more often. I love the look of how the brown gingham ribbon from American Craft was so easy to weave through it.

Don't you just love the envelopes from the What's Up collection, I stamped a sentiment from Technique Tuesdays Ali Edwards Favorite Memories with ColorBox ink on to the small envelop I used and added the Red Petite Letters from Authentic.
