Steampunk Card

It is so hard to come up with a card for the men in your life but I was really pleased with the SteamPunk card I designed. I started my card by embossing a piece of white card stock that I had stamped with VersaMark, Seafoam White Embossing Powder and the Hero Arts Watch Gear Stamp. If you didn't know embossing powder is a resist so you are able to go right over the top of the image with your distress inks and the image will reveal itself as you apply the ink. I used Tim Holtz Gathered Twig, Tea Dyed, Aged Mahogany and Peeled Paint to achieve the look I wanted for the front of my card. I cornered chomped all of my Simple Stories Generation pieces using the EK Success Corner Chomper and then layered them into place. The piece that I embossed I placed on pop dots after I wrapped my ribbon and twine around it.
I finished up my card by adding some Industrial Chic Charms and Game Spinner that I got at my local craft store. I hope you try adding some metals to your projects in the future I think it gives an amazing look. Hugs Pammejo
