Masculine Birthday Cards with Bo Bunny

Today is my sweet son "Matthew's Birthday" and when I went to buy a birthday card I just couldn't bring myself to buy one. The problem was not just the cost but the cards themselves, they were either made for little boys, for wives to give their husbands or for some one that like to either drink a lot or other vulgar talk and ideas, just mostly inappropriate for a mom to give to an adult son. So I came home and came up with these for some of the men in my life. I used Bo Bunny Market 6 x 6 paper pad on both cards with a piece of the Bo Bunny Market Cut Out Sheet. On my first card I use a Word Key from Tim Holtz along with some Canvas Design Brown Jute.
On both cards Hero Arts new
Wish Big Stamp was used. On the first card I did a multi embossing technique using Seafoam White and Butterscotch embossing powder and on the second card I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The background of my second card is from Canvas Designs Burlap Sheet. I then layered my paper and stamped pieces to the front of the burlap.
I added a tag from the cut out sheet along with Blue Moon Madame Delphine's Charms that I picked up in the jewelry department of my local craft store. I wrapped my tag with Canvas Brown Twine, to hold everything to the card base I used my Tim Holtz stapler and stapled in several places. I hope you try using some metals on your masculine cards. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting Pammejo

  2. Love the look of these masculine cards. They can be so hard to make for our manly friends. You did a great job, Pam.
