Because of the Brave Blog Hop on Veterans Day
We can never say thank you enough to our Vets that have served over the years and that are serving now. They are the reason we have our life, our liberty and our freedom. Thank you. If you are joining us in the Because of the Brave Blog Hop and have come from the talented Gina's of California Scrappin' than you are heading in the right direction but if you would like to start at the beginning go to Nicolette's Beyond Scrappin'
The photos are of my father as a young man, he was 17 when he enlisted in the Marine Corp, he went through basic training and then went right overseas to fight in World War II and our son Matthew he enlisted when he was 19.
I used an Explorer by Traditions Jewelry Piece from Hobby Lobby to place to the left of my journaling. It has the directions of the compass on it, thought it worked perfectly for my layout. The small stars are from the negative spots from the Quickutz Star border.
The Paper Company "The Journey" paper is where I got my title for my page. I just love this paper it was a perfect representation for the theme I was looking for my layout. "The Journey Through Time". I wanted the layout to represents the journey through our time as a nation. Always remember our Vets and their families, their sacrifices and their service. Your next stop on the blog hop is with our talented Denine of Pumpkin Spice.
Supplies:
The Paper Company Heartfelt Travel - Our Journey and Stripe
Explores by Traditions Jewelry Piece
Quickutz Star Border
