Boo Mixed Media Canvas with Deco Art Americana Paints - Tutorial


BOO TO YOU!!!
Let's get our paint on today!!


Begin by painting a 6 x 6 canvas using DecoArt Americana paints. 
Blend paints together while they are wet using paint brush to create the greens and hues of white and blues. 


Stamp background image with DecoArt Americana Carbon Black Paint. Dry


Prep chipboard pumpkin and scary cat chipboard with Carbon Black and Titanium White Paint. 


Apply DecoArt One Step Crackle Paint; dry. 


Apply DecoArt Americana paint to each of the prepared chipboard pieces; dry.


Lay a small circle stencil on prepared canvas; apply DecoArt Media Modeling paint to top with palette knife. Dry
Stamp background image with Titanium White paint. Dry


Paint chipboard "Boo" with Carbon Black paint; dry. 
Adhere to top of  prepared canvas. 
Dry brush Titanium White paint to top of prepared "Boo". Dry
Add small metal Halloween hand charm to "Boo". 
Add wire hanger. 


Adhere prepared pumpkin and cat to canvas.
Add metal spiders to pieces. 


Add twine bow to prepared cat.

Hero Fold Up Card Box with ColorBox


Hi! I appreciate all the Hero' in our lives that serve in or have served in our communities. I can't say thank you loud enough or often enough....BUT...Thank You...For Being Amazing!!!


Cut two pieces of white card stock to measure 5" x 7". Score at 4' and 6" marks.


Adhere seams together.


To form box.


Cut three 1 1/2" x 4 1/2" white card stock. Score 1/4" on each side of strip to create inserts for card box.


Adhere inserts into box card.


Lay ColorBox Ringer Art Screen on prepared card box making sure to keep it flat. Apply modeling paste with palette knife. Dry. Repeat on other side of card box. Dry.


Apply ColorBox Sunshine Blends Ink to craft sheet; mist with water. Press prepared card box into mist; dry. Repeat on other side of card box.


Apply ColorBox Stop Blends Ink to craft sheet; mist with water. Press prepared card box into mist; dry. Repeat on other side of card box. 


Stamp stars from ColorBox Big Thanks Clear Stamp Set with ColorBox Uniform Blends Ink. Repeat with background stamp.


Cut 4 strips of white cardstock. Apply ColorBox Blends Sunshine, Uniform, Nutmeg and Stop Ink to each strip.


Stamp sentiment from ColorBox Big Thanks Clear Stamp Set with ColorBox Premium Licorice Dye Ink to prepared paper.  Stamp star image with ColorBox Blend Stop ink to prepared paper.


Punch stars from prepared paper; stamp background images with coordinating ColorBox Blends Inks. Repeat with Nutmeg inked paper.


Cut narrow strips from the prepared Nutmeg paper; adhere prepared sentiments to strips. Adhere sentiments to card box.


Layer stars together; adhere to strips of prepared paper. Add to card box.


Ink chipboard letters with ColorBox Blends Uniform Ink; adhere to front of card box. Add small metal stars to card box.


Add twine bow to card box.




Fold card flat to place in envelop.


Open up when it is receive. I hope you have fun creating some Fold Up Card Boxes using this simple tutorial along with ColorBox products. Pam

Thanks So Much Mixed Media Card with ColorBox



Hello ColorBox Fans! Are you ready to create a few mixed media Thank You Cards using your ColorBox Dyestress Inks along with ColorBox Art Screens and the fabulous ColorBox Big Thanks Clear Stamp Set!!! We are sharing a fabulous tutorial on how to create your very own collection of mixed media cards.


Lay ColorBox Lattice Art Screen on white card stock. Apply ColorBox Dyestress Cattail Ink over top using ColorBox Stylus and Tip. Repeat with ColorBox Dyestress Salmon Ink to create background paper.  Remove art screen.


Lightly apply Dyestress Salmon and Citronelle Inks over prepared background paper using ColorBox Stylus and Tip. 



Stamp background images with Dyestress Shamrock and Posy Inks to prepared background paper. 


Lay ColorBox Swirldot Art Screen on prepared background paper. Apply white gesso to top with palette knife. Dry.

Distress edges of prepared background paper with distress tool. Ink edges with Dyestress Fruit Punch Ink using ColorBox Stylus and Tip. Adhere to Kraft Card Base.



Apply Dyestress Citronelle and Shamrock Ink to top of white card stock using ColorBox Stylus and Tip. Stamp flower border to top of prepared strip using ColorBox Licorice Premium Ink.



Distress edges on prepared border with distress tool. Ink edges with Dyestress Shamrock Ink. Repeat with White card stock border strip; ink with ColorBox Dyestress Posy Ink.


Adhere borders together. Adhere to front of card base. 



Apply ColorBox Dyestress Fruit Punch and Posy to top of white card stock using ColorBox Stylus and Tips. Stamp flower border twice on prepared card stock with ColorBox Licorice Premium Ink. Fussy cut flower images from card stock. Adhere one to top of card bordder. Add second one to top of border with pop dots. Add gemstones to center of flowers. 


Stamp larger flowers from image on white card stock using ColorBox Licorice Premium Ink. Apply Dyestress Citronella, Shamrock, Fruit Punch and Posy Ink to top of stamped images using ColorBox Stylus and Tips.


Add gemstone and bows to card front.


Apply ColorBox Dyestress Citronella and Shamrock ink to small white card stock strip using ColorBox Stylus and Tips. Distress edges with distress tool. Apply Dyestress Shamrock Ink to distress edges. Repeat with Dyestress Fruit Punch and Posy Inks. Distress edges with distress tool. Apply Dyestress Posy Ink to edges with ColorBox Stylus and Tip. Adhere together. 



 Add to card front with pop dots. Add small enamel dot.

Love Mixed Media Card with Tutorial....ColorBox Blends and Blank Page Muse Stamps


Love is in the air as we head into Jan... Valentines is right around the corner!

 Today I created a "Love" Mixed Media Card to share the ease of using ColorBox Blends along with Eileen Hull dies from Sizzix and Blank Page Muse/Pam Bray Designs: Grunge Stamp Set created by me!!!


Die cut  Journaling Card; Flowers and Leaves Die from white card stock. 
Using ColorBox Golden and Wildberry Blends ink paper.
Stamp Grunge image from Blank Page Muse/Pam Bray Designs: Grunge Stamp Set using ColorBox Ebony Blend ink. 




Blend ColorBox Blends ink on white card stock.
Stamp Grunge images from Blank Page Muse/Pam Bray Designs: Grunge Stamp Set with ColorBox Blends Ink.
Apply Wildberry, Ebony and Golden to top of Basket Weave embossing folder; emboss.


Distress edges of embossed paper; ink all edges with ColorBox Nutmeg Blends Ink.
Adhere to distress card stock.
Die cut doily; cut in half and adhere to card front.


Distress prepared Journaling Card; Flowers and Leaves  and red card stock; adhere together.
Wrap tan twine around and add to card front with pop dots.


Die cut flowers from pattern paper. Ink edges with Wildberry, Nutmeg and Frog ColorBox Blends Ink. 
Form Flowers; layer together. 


Punch scallop circles from pattern paper and card stock; adhere together. 
Adhere to front of card. 


Adhere already made floral butterfly to front of card.


Die cut "love" from Journaling Words. 
Ink with ColorBox Golden and Wildberry Blends Ink. 




Add twine and gold ribbon bow to card front.


Adhere more flowers.
