Technique Tuesday - Using Alcohol Inks

Good Morning Tuesday and to start our day I will be talking to you about Adirondack Alcohol Inks. You will need to a blending tool that has the disposable felt pads (I tried it with the foam pads and they won't slide across the paper) and glossy tags, if you don't have gloss tags you can make your tags have a glossy affect you painting a thin layer of Glossy Accent across them. With you blending tool and felt pad place just one dot of each color of Alcohol ink on to the pad - I used Eggplant, Watermelon, Butterscotch, Pesto, and Raisin with one drop of the Silver Mixative. Now just have fun poncing the blending tool all over the tag, turning and twisting. Once you have a desired amount of coverage take and place a drop of the Alcohol Blending Solution on the felt pad and go all over your tag again. Once this is done just splatter a bit of the Alcohol ink onto the tag to give it some splatter stains. Heat set with your embossing gun.
Using Archival Black Ink stamp you images, I used the Visual Artistry Curious Possibilities and the Stamper Anonymous Mixed Media Stamps for my tag. Heat set between each stamping so you don't accident smear the ink. I finished my tag by adding some to of the Tim Holtz Music Tape that I stained with Wild Honey and some metals. Happy Easter !!!! with a Hippity Hoppity Easter Frame

Happy Easter!!!! Jillibean has such beautiful paper, couldn't resist making a frame, I know I will have a fabulous Easter picture to place in by the beginning of next week.

I covered my eggs with paper, stickers, ribbon and inked the edges with Chestnut Roan Ink before I attached them to my frame. My "Hippity Hoppitty... sticker I placed on with pop dots and added the small bunny head to the front of the sentiment. Happy Easter and remember "Christ has Risen" Hugs Pammejo

We R Memory Keepers Baby Mine-Facebook Guest Designer

I was asked yesterday to be the Guest Designer for We R Memory Keepers. I am so honored and want to share with you the other projects that I made with the Baby Mine Collection. I was asked to make some party favors and a card so if you would like to see those a bit closer please go HERE.
I also made a layout with my sweet grand daughter. she is Sugar and Spice and definitely Every Thing Nice so the sentiment fit perfectly.

We R Memory Keepers Baby Mine- Facebook Guest Designer

I was so honored when We R Memory Keepers asked that I be their Guest Designer for Facebook this month. I was asked to make some party favors using the new Baby Mine Collection and embellishments, I sure hope you enjoy what I came up with.
I first thought I need a Baby Shower invitation so I cut a Sweetie Pie Onsie using my Cameo. I added some tulle that I gathered together to form a fun skirt for the front of my Onsie.
I added a piece of the Baby Girl border of the Sugar and Spice to form a waistband on top of the tulle; some bows, pearl gemstones and an Epiphany Charm to the waist that says "You're Invited". Inside I will add the details to the baby shower. OH and I am going to save the invitation so I will be able to add it to a layout of my grand-daughter.
One of my favors was made from a 3 x 10 piece of paper that I scored at the 4 and 6 inch marks to make the bottom of the bag. I stapled the top of the paper once I placed my M&M's into a bag.
I added a folded piece of Girly Girl paper that I matted with some brown card stock to make a header for my bag. I fussy cut the momma and baby elephant and glued it to the front of the header.
I used a ribbon punch and punched holes on both sides of the bag header and added my ribbon to the top of the bag and tied a Epiphany Square charm to the the ribbon. I placed a border from the Sugar & Spice paper to the bottom of my bag along with a flower that I fussy cut and added them to the front of the bag.
My second party favor was a small jar of M&M's. I wrapped the jar with some of the Girly Girl and Rock A Bye paper but do you see the momma kangaroo and baby that is behind the border, I fussy cut it out and placed it behind so it would seem to be peeking from behind. I stapled some sheer pink ribbon to a border from the Sugar and Spice paper that I had distressed using the Tim Holtz distresser.
I just love the Epiphany charms and Try the updated Blogger interfacebubbles so I wrapped some pink twine around the covered lid rim and added one of the charms to the jar. On the top of the jar I also placed a fun Printed Fabric Button to the top of the jar.

Technique Tuesday - "Thanks" Card with Gesso and Prima Madeline

Today for Technique Tuesday I will be sharing with you about Gesso. Gesso is usually used as a primer but today I wanted to show you how I painted a piece of chipboard that I cut using the Baroque Sizzix Die. I applied a very thick coat of Gesso using a large width brush - while it was wet I stamped the chipboard with my Stampers Anoymous Mixed Media stamp. Make sure to wipe it clean and dry it off between stamping to get a good deep impression. Allow it to dry completely before you add your distress inks.
Here is a closer look at the impressions that the stamp made. Once the image was dried I used my Tim Holtz Peeled Paint, Tea Dye, Fired Brick and Wild Honey inks, once I got my color just the way I wanted it I then decorated my card with Prima Madeline 6x6 paper pad cutting flowers using the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers and Mini Heart Dies. I fussy cut some of the butterflies and added them to the card for dimension along with some of the Epiphany circles to the center. My "Thanks" letters are the Alpha Parts from Tim Holtz. Happy Easter Card with Outline's Rubber Stamp Co

I found this Outline's Stamp at Hobby Lobby, I had to bring it home with me, it was just to cute not to. I stamped and colored my image with my Copic Marker, I then inked it with some Peeled Paint Distress Ink.
I love to fussy cut so I stamped a second bunny and after I colored it in I cut it out and placed it on the background that I cut using pop dots. Do you notice the centers of the flowers, I put small puddles of Glossy Accent in the center to give some more depth to my card. Of course you always need a little bling so I added some to show the bunny trail. I hope you play around with fussy cutting. Hugs Pammejo

You Crack Me Up Card - HELP ME DECIDE!!!

HELP: Should I make my card for an Easter Card or a birthday card for my 13 year old grandson that just cracks me up. HELP me to decide, would love your input. I made my card with Jillibean products and stamps. The cracked egg is so cute and I colored it in with my Copic Markers. Have a fun day and remember tomorrow is Technique Tuesday. Hugs Pammejo
