Miss You - IBISC #48

Today is Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge and the lovely color of the pinks and green just inspired me to use the Fancy Label Stamp set to make my card with along with the Once Upon a Time Papers from Graphic 45. I loved the colored palette that is for our inspiration challenge this week on the blog.. Once I had my card made and my Fancy Label stamped on to a piece of the postcard paper, I colored it in the border in with a Copic Marker so it would match my papers and give dimension to the label. I also placed some of the postage stamps from the paper on pop dots once I had my ribbon tie to it.

I had to make a Miss You Card since this is the last week that the scrapbook store I work at and love so much will be closing their door after 5 1/2 years. All I can do is encourage everyone to shop at your local and favorite online stores, support your small business owners.  Inspired by Stamping has a fabulous line of stamps, flowers and ribbons. Here is the color inspiration from Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Blog, I hope you join us this week in the challenge and please make sure to come by and see all of the fabulous stamps that are available at the Inspired by Stamping store. The new releases will be shared next week and all I can say it that they are gorgeous. Hugs Pammejo

Celebrate Card - IBSIC #47 Inspiration Challenge

Today is all the need to "Celebrate" so I made a card to a share with you using the inspiration piece from Inspired by Stamping Challenge Blog. I used the "Just Because Stamp set along with the Fancy Label Dies #1 to make my card with.
Here is the inspiration piece and I tried to capture the colors in the papers but also with ribbons and fun little banners that I made.
I had to dye my white doily and ribbon flowers with distress stains. If you have never tried doing that is is a great way to make you light colors of ribbon and flowers into the color you need them to be. Do you noticed I didn't glue the banners completely down but instead curled the tips up so that they look like they are blowing in the breeze. I thought it made them look and feel like they to were ready to "Celebrate". I hope you are inspired and will play along with us in the inspiration piece, upload to MrLinky on the IBSIC Blog and check out all of the fun stamps, ribbons and flowers that are offered at Inspired by Stamping. Hugs Pammejo

Thinking Of You Card - Color Palette

Oh my, I so love today color palette that we are using on Scrapbook News and Review, GORGEOUS!!!! is all I can say.  I love the black/green color palette and how it plays off the white; don't you? I used Teresa Collins Carolina and Fabrication papers to create my card along with a sentiment stamp from Hero Arts Message stamp set.
Here is the fabulous inspiration photo we were able to be inspired by.
I love the little flowers in the bowl, so I had to recreate it by punching several from a flower punch that I had from EK Success. I rolled each with my McGill Paper Blossoms Tool Set and Molding Mat to get some dimension from the flat flowers and added some gemstones to the centers of each flower. Well, I hope I inspired you to play along with us today and create something beautiful. Hugs Pammejo

Love Plaque - Scrapbooking.com

Wow, I have my Love Plaque featured on Scrapbooking.com Magazine, it was shared yesterday for Valentine's day but you can also preview on the online magazine with links to Pinterest and UTube.
Directions:
1. I first painted my frame using burnt umber. Placing my paper on the inside of the plaque, I then added some large twill ribbon and mini blue rickrack.
2. I took two 3 1/2" dollies and inked the top of them with my Chestnut Roan ink. Once they were dry, I glued 1 doily to the lower inside left corner, 1/2 of a doily to the top right of the curve, and 1/4 doily to the lower right inside corner of my plaque.
3. My letters are the GCD Big Alphabet that I covered with the Frances patterned paper and inked using Chestnut Roan ink.
4. The flowers are from Prima and Stringing Heart Flowers along with some that I made.
To Make Flowers:
1. Use a 3 1/2" circle punch for large flowers. You can use any size circle punch, just remember the smaller the circle the smaller the flower.
2. Starting on the outside of the circle, cut with your scissors to form a spiral.
3. Take your tweezers and begin rolling the spiral. As you roll, occasionally put a small amount of glue to hold it in place.
4. When it is completely rolled, glue onto a small circle.
5. Once glue is dry, add your flowers to the plaque along with a little bling

Supplies:
  • Adhesive: Scotch Quick Dry (3M)
  • Alphabet/Letters: GCD Big Alphabet Chipboard Letters (GCD Studios)

Friend Card

Made this cute card awhile back to send to a friend and thought I would reshare it today.  In this age of texting one forgets to call or to write a note to each other. There is something to say about human contact, it is always something that one yearns for. If you are like me when I go to bed at night I pray for all that are close to me and that I love. I pray for other things that have filled my day and when I finish I think often of some that I haven't heard from in many days, weeks or even months. I always think tomorrow I will call but my tomorrows never happen and again the days become weeks and weeks become months. Sad to think about it.

I made my "Hey Friend Card" using Graphic 45 Ladies Diary papers On the Dot, Hopscotch, Buttons A La Mode, and Mantique. I did all my distressing using Tim Holtz Inks: Aged Mohagany, Broken China, and Tea Dye. I used ColorBox Chestnut to stamp the Clock from the 7Gypsies Venice Stamp collection. The cute stamp that says "Hey Friend-Just Saying Hello" is from Basic Grey. I stamped it on a tag using Black Memento ink. The Antique Bronze Brads and ribbons really dress the tag and the pocket of the card.

Remember to make beautiful cards but more importantly take time to call your family and friends. Hugs Pammejo

Vintage Love Gift Bag with Tim Holtz and Making Memories

Do you feel love is in the air!!!! I do!!!! and fortunate to have married the love of my life and we have been together for a long, long time now. Anyway I wanted to share a vintage bag I made to give to a special Valentine in my life.  I started with a burgundy bag from my Christmas stash and decided it would be perfect. If you don't have a burgundy that use a Kraft bag.
I made the flowers using Valentine Cupcake liners. I cut 3 different size circles, sprayed them with Cranberry Glimmer Mist. Allow them to dry and then just wad them up, open and layer them and add a clear jewel gemstone to the center.
I took one of the Tim Holtz Adornments and using Glossy Accent I placed it right on top of the crown that I used from the Tim Holtz Urban Grudge Stamp set. I used this stamp set on all the stamped pieces you see on my bag. My tag was distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing tool and Pumice Distress Ink. My glass embellishments I made by going to the jewelry department at Hobby Lobby and buying the pieces, went at home and put them together. I saved a lot of money doing these this way. I hope you go through your bag stash and make your special someone a beautiful bag to place a gift in. Hugs Pammejo

Valentine Box using the Cameo and Bo Bunny

I made my first project on my Silhouette Cameo a year ago, it is a fun candy box. I just thought it was just to cute and had to reshare it since your are still able to get the image. I used some Bo Bunny Valentine paper that I had. The Valentine image is in the library of the Cameo, what makes it so fabulous is you can make it any size you want it to be, that is as long as it will fit on your paper. (I know I plan to use just the front of it as a card.)

I had to navigate a square on my computer to the front of the bag on the Silhouette Cameo to make a window so you could see into the bag. I placed a piece of acetate inside the bag so my candies would fall out

I added some of the black heart paper from Bo Bunny behind the large heart at the top to give my bag some depth, along with framing out the window and placing paper behind the small hearts at the bottom of the bag. I added some ribbon that I purchased from my local craft store and of course had to add a Epiphany Heart Charm with some black twine to the top of the box. I hope if you have a Cameo that you try the dimensional images from the Silhouette Store or maybe some other SVG files. Hugs Pammejo

Love You Card - Inspired by Stamping Challenge #45

Welcome today for the IBS Inspiration Challenge #45.  I am so excited that you stopped by to see the Love You Card  that I created for the inspirational piece. I made my card using the "Just Because Stamp" set along with the "Fancy Label Die" set and Authentique "Lovely" paper for my card.

Here is the IBS Inspiration Challenge piece for the challenge and we would love for you to make a project and upload it to Mr. Linky that is at the bottom of the post.
I stamped my die cut image with red embossing powder and VersaMark adding it to the top of my card with pop dots after I had placed all of my paper layers, lace and swirly gemstones to the front of my card base. I added a red sheer ribbon, pearl stick pin and a small flower that I made using an Epiphany Punch. I hope you have been inspired enough to make a project and upload it to the IBSC Challenge blog. Hugs Pammejo

BONUS TIP....
Do you have a hard time holding your dies in place when you are trying to cut them out. Well, try a bit of Washi Tape to hold them down, easy to use and easy to remove, the best part is it won't hurt your paper. I have also used it to hold my paper down on my Silhouette mat when I the sticky has disappeared on the mat. Enjoy!!!!

Authentique Lovely paper

Epiphany Scallop Flower Punch and Epoxy Bubble

Good Friends Card with SinCity Stamps

I love how my "Good Friends" Card came together using SinCity "Time Well Spent" stamp set and I know the special friend that I plan on giving this to for Valentines Day

The first thing I did was embossed my background paper for my card. So get your white embossing powder, tidy tray, embossing gun, paper and "Time Well Spent" flower stamp together and lets begin to make our card

See how pretty the background turned out on my blue checker paper from the My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" paper pad. I then stamped the heart key stamp out twice along with the "Good Friends" sentiment on paper from the same collection. I punched out the sentiment to form a semi-circle along with a scallop circle to place above my border strips at the bottom of my card after I had tied my twin ribbon to the card front. My heart stamp I fussy cut the whole image from one of the stamped image and only the heart from the second layering it on top with a pop dot prior to placing it to the front of my card. I love metals so I had to add a key and hot air balloon to front of my card.

So no card is complete for Valentines Day without a bit of chocolate, so I picked up at Godiva Chocolatier bar and altered it to give to my Valentine.

I covered the candy bar with my My Minds Eye "The Sweetest Thing" paper and added a fun stamped border along with the double key hearts and sentiment from the "Time Will Tell" set that I stamped with some blue ink. I stamped the double key hearts twice so I could fussy cut them out and add the second set of heart to the key with pop dots. Added a few of stick pins to my candy bar to make sure it looked as special as I could.

I so hope this has inspired you to make something special for the "Valentines" in your life and hope you stop by SinCity Stamps to check out the stamps. Hugs Pammejo

Love You Candy Jar with Carta Bella

Don't you just love the candy jar stamp from Northwoods Stamp? I do and thought it was just the perfect stamp for Valentine or anytime.... I used the Carta Bella "So Loved Stripe" and "Hugs and Kisses Border" papers from the Devoted collection to make my card with. I did multiply layering along with using my EK Success Chomper on a few of the corners prior to placing them on my card front.
Once I had my candy jar colored I fussy cut the jar out and placed it on pop dots along with wrapping red twine around the lid and the border that I had placed on the card.
I colored all of the hearts in with my Copic Markers and added the "Love You" from the paper strips that I fussy cut and placed on pop dots. I hope you try your had at coloring some of your stamped images, I always find it so relaxing. Hugs Pammejo
