You Make Me Happy... is made with the Echo Park This and That Gracious Collection. I distressed and inked all of the edges using my Tim Holtz distress tool, Chestnut Roan Ink and Tiny Attacher to create the look of distress/vintage feel. I added all of my pieces to a Kraft background, added a fun sheer bow along with stick pins from Making Memories. The sentiment comes from the This and That Sticker sheet and is a perfect sentiment to send to a special friend "When I am feeling Grey". Hope you keep a few cards around when you are feeling grey to send out to your special friends, it will always cheer you up. Hugs Pammejo

Technique Tuesday -"Enjoy the Journey" Card using Adirodack Paint Dabbers
Sunday, May 27, 2012
Wild and Free Card
For my card I used Persimmon card stock as the base,a small piece of paper from Jillibean Blossom Soup Paper Pad, Rub-Ons are from My Mind's Eye and I stained my Maya Road Flower Ribbon with Peeled Paint Stain from Tim Holtz. I also added a couple of staples at each end of the ribbon to help it stay in place.
I hope my hint helps you with your rub-ons and that you will try using them in the future. Hugs Pammejo

You Make My Heart Sing Card
Don't you love the metal Clip from Making Memories it matched the paper perfectly and gave that extra touch that I was looking for; of course no project is complete without a bit of bling so I added some to the clip and to the sentiment.
I hope you try some stain on your embossing I am sure you will love the look. Hugs Pammejo

The Journey Awakens The Soul Tag
To Make the Dress:
Cover the "Sewing Room" dress form with paper after you have cut a "v" in the neck and cut the stand off of the form. Start at the bottom and layer the petals that you have formed to the base of the dress until you get to the waist. Tie a ribbon around the waist of the dress. Add some tiny pearl bling to the neckline and place on tag with pop dots. I added some Glimmer Glaze to the top of the dress once I had it on top of the tag.
So my challenge to you is to look at your punches and see if you can come up with a fun idea to use them in a different way. Hugs Pammejo

Technique Tuesday - Dry Embossing and Simple Stories!!!
On most machines you will have the directions on how to use them, what I like about Sizzix is that the directions are right on the boards so they are always with you. |
Technique Tuesday -Jean Album
Today is going to be a bit different on Technique Tuesday. Today I would like to share with you that I have been published in the Summer issue of Scrapbooking and Beyond Summer 2012 issue. I made a very clever and fun alter album using the pockets off your blue/red/green/brown... oh well any color jean you may have laying around. Here is a sneak peak at the cover of the album. For the rest of the details you will have to get you....
and on page 38, 39, 40 and 41 are all of the scrumptious details of the album. So if you have old jeans just laying around, get your scissors out and begin cutting them up, save everything from the buttons, zipper and even lining of the pockets (I made flowers with them). I hope you run right out an get a copy and start creating. Hugs Pammejo

Tim Holtz May Tag 2012
Today I finally made my first tag of the year that Tim Holtz is sharing on his blog, well I cheated a bit to get my "May Tag" done and used the "Kraft" Paper Stash Collection for my background. On Tim Holtz blog if you go there he show how to do it with tissue paper which is a very clever idea. So to begin with I cut my tag from the paper and stamped it with the "Sewing Form" from the "Seamless Experience" Stamp set. I then distressed the edges with my Distress Tool and inked the edges with Gathered Twigs.
Next I got out my "new" favorite tool, some Ultra Thick Embossing Powder and mini roses.
I stained my mini roses with Fired Brick and Scattered Straw Stains to give them a vintage look.
When they were dried I dipped them into the Melted Embossing Powder. Allow the excess embossing powder to drip off and set your roses to one side to dry. Also, don't throw the left over embossing powder away, just unplug the melting pot and place the lid on the remaining liquid until the next time, it will save you some money.
Here is what the roses look like once they are dry, you may have to knock a bit of clump off from the embossing powder being to thick.
Finally a close up of my little flower pot. I wrapped an antique spool with brown twine, added a safety pin to the front and glues all of my roses randomly out of the hole. I also sewed the measuring tape to the bottom of my tag with my sewing machine before gluing the spool to the front of the tag. Add a hanger and a small metal embellishment, your stained and crinkle ribbon and walla you have a fabulous tag made all thanks to our friend Tim Holtz and his creative genius. I hope you try to do at least one of his tags this year, they are always so fun and fabulous. Hugs Pammejo

Happy Birthday Isaac!!!!!
Happy Birthday Isaac!!! I made a fun birthday card for Isaac using the Basic Grey "What''s Up" Blue Skies paper and the fun layered Sticker Hot Air Balloons. Super easy card that just screams have fun. Isaac is the comedian in our family, always doing pranks, looking for something fun and adventurous to do, so I thought this would be the perfect birthday card for him.
He had a great time at his Uncles wedding showing off some of his very clever moves. He was a show stopper if I must say. Good Times!!!!!
Happy Birthday Isaac!!! Hard to believe you are a teenager. Feel free to leave a birthday wish for our Iron Man Isaac!!! Hugs Pammejo

Happy Mothers Day!!!
"Things I Learned From My Mom"
What I learned from Mom
Where do I start:
It's like a book
that's written on my heart,
and wherever I go in life,
it guides me in ways
I bet she doesn't
even realize.
First of all, I learned that
sometimes a hug
can say more than words.
And that I could trust myself
as I began to make my way
in the world,
because I was standing on the solid foundation
she gave me.
I learned
that strength comes
from standing up
and doing what's right,
even if sometimes
you stand alone.
that excuses
don't work
(no matter how many good ones
I came up with!)
I learned that success
comes from trying, failing,
and trying again, not from everything
being perfect all the time.
That kindness
counts more than
getting ahead.
That times may change,
but the important
things don't.
I Learned
that no matter
where I am, there's someone who cares
and believes in me.
And I learned
that there really are
angels on this earth... because my mom
is one of them.
