Tim Holtz Tags with Distress Inks - Day 2 Creativity 101
I would encourage you if you haven't signed up for the Creativity 101 class you may still have time. I gave you some basic information on each tag that you would find on Tim's Blog, in his book or previewing his videos. I am trying to honor him by giving you a bit of information and encouraging you to go to his site to see how wonderful his products are. I LOVE, LOVE Tim Holtz products because they work so well with other manufactures that I am very fond of. Let me know if you have tried this technique or if you are doing his class, would love to see what you have done. Hugs Pammejo

Now for my project: I bought this cabinet at our local Goodwill Store for 2.99. It is a pretty nice cabinet but as soon as I seen it I knew exactly what I wanted to make with it. "Instant" inspiration, don't you love that when it happens.
The first picture shows you the front of the cabinet but here are a few close ups. I love roly poly flowers and use them on so many projects because they are so simple to make. All you need to do is punch out a 2" circle, using your scissors and cut a spiral shape with your circle. Now wrap the outside edge around a pair of tweezers to you get it to the middle, pull the spiral of the tweezers, allow it to release itself a bit and glue to the center with tacky glue. My little Making Memories bottle is filled with Glossy Accent, alcohol ink and for whatever reason it didn't set up so the just moves around freely in the bottle which is really pretty cool.
On the bottom left corner I made more of fun roly poly flowers along with some Jolee's flowers that I sprayed with Perfect Pearls sprays. I love to fussy cut so my lady is fussy cut out and place on top of a doily that I also sprayed with Perfect Pearls. I added some Tim Holtz metals, ribbons, keys, etc to give my box character
Here is the inside of my cabinet before I did the inside of it
This is the inside of the cabinet. Can you guess what I made my cabinet into. I made us a Coffee Table Storage Box for our remotes and placed a photo album in it using a 7Gypsies album in it.
Here is one side of the box. I did all 4 sides in the same paper and ribbons
Here is the other side of my storage box, I love the Pigs Fly die cut. I also used the sentiments from one of the sheets of paper and double matted them after I distressed them my Tim Holtz distress tool and tiny attacher.
My Storage Box is made completely with the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe Collection is the inside of the box, places for our remote controls and a family album
.
The album is from 7Gypsies and is covered with the Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe along with more roly poly flowers, die cuts, and metals.
The first designer is the very talented Pinky form Much Ado About Nothing.

Altered "Sewing Bird" House & a Giveaway - Guest Designer Barbara
Altered "Sewing Bird" House
I covered a bare wooden bird house with DCWV self-adhesive fabric paper (blue collection), then cut three gears from handmade copper-colored paper using the Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets die, toning down the copper color with a wash of Walnut Stain Distress Stain. When dry, I adhered the gears around each opening in the bird house. Next, I hammered the metal roof on the inside, then applied Baroque Art Gilder's Paste (copper, rust, and verdigris) to the outside. Before reattaching the roof to the bird house, I punched a small hole in each crease and inserted Tim Holtz Ideology antique gold chain through it. I ran two sizes of Graphic 45 metal butterflies through a Vintaj Deco Motif embossing folder, applied copper Gilder's Paste and Vintaj Patinas in blue and green before adhering to top of roof. I used Tim Holtz Sizzix mini dress form and thread spool movers and shapers die to cut them from real wood paper, then adhered another matching piece of DCWV fabric paper to the dress form. Next, I wrapped floss around the thread spool and waist of the dress form and adhered both to the base of the house, along with some Tim Coffey (K & Company) and Prima flowers. I also used the copper paste to color the vintage sewing bird. It was a bright, brassy gold color. I finished the bird house off with a few sewing-themed embellishments.
Please visit my blog at Black Hole Art Studio.
Now for the fun part please visit Barbara blog at Black Hole Studio, make sure to follow her blog and leave a message come back and let me know and you will receive your own project to alter. Hugs Pammejo

Wish Big Stamp was used. On the first card I did a multi embossing technique using Seafoam White and Butterscotch embossing powder and on the second card I stamped the sentiment using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. The background of my second card is from Canvas Designs Burlap Sheet. I then layered my paper and stamped pieces to the front of the burlap.

It's All About the Green

I then placed them on my wreath using my glue gun and added some of the die cut shamrocks here and there throughout the wreath.
