"Just You and I On Easter" - SEI First Ever Link Party! -

I love this layout of my daughter and grand-daughter at Easter. The SEI papers were perfect for the layout. I did some hand sewing on the layout and fussy cut the flowers from one piece of the paper.

Count Your Blessings

"Count Your Blessings" is the card that I had been working on for a couple of days. Just couldn't get it completed. Just couldn't think of a sentiment for it. I bought the new Thanksgiving Lite Cartridge on Friday and late on Saturday night I was told a dear friend had died. She fought a good fight with cancer but in the end she lost. My heart is so grieved for her. I think of her husband, daughters and their families and my sadness is minimal to what they are going through.

Today as I sat at my scrap table after being on face book I decided to complete my card. I gave the sentiment "Count Your Blessings" for dear friend. Vickie was truly a blessing in my life, her families lives and all those around her. She always had a smile on her face and even during all the chemo and radiation she continued to work. She always looked at her basket as full and overflowing in blessings. I wish I and more of us had that attitude instead of this whoa is me. I know I can drain my family and I know others drain me from that attitude. We need to learn to love and forgive more and to choice our battles. Most of our battles aren't worth the fight when we lose a relationship in the end. I will always treasure my friend Vickie and will think of her smiling face often.

Here are the some of the products I used for my A2 card:

My little pumpkin is an Imagininsce stamp and colored in with Copic Markers: YR04, YR07, Y17, G05. I used Basic Grey Papers.

Happy Day Cupcake

Made this card using one of my favorite stamps from Unity and some Two Scoops Paper from Basic Grey. Doesn't cupcakes and ice cream always go well together.
I did a little distressing on the cupcake paper and on the Blueberry Custard paper using my new tool from Tim Holtz.
I colored my cupcakes with Copic markers G12, G14, B00, B02, R81, R83, E31, E33, C1. Oh, how I love my Copics.

"Give Me Your Candy or Else!!!!!

Just had a birthday and receive a fabulous present, a Pink Cricut Expression!!!! This is my very first project on it. I used the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cartridge to create my 7" Tag. I also had a Stampendous Stamp set - "Costume Kids" from last year that I hadn't ever used so I thought this would be a fabulous image to do up and to put on one of my Grandchildren Halloween Treat bag. I used Memento ink because that works the best with Copic Markers.
I had a Scrapbook Page Kit from Making Memories that had all the embellishments in it so the tag went together very quickly. The Scrapbook kit is called Halloween 2 (#28010). I just added a piece of Black Cardstock and a scrap of white to stamp my image on. The Copic markers that I used on my image are V12, V15, V17, B00, B02, E00, E33, E37, C1 and W10.
Of course no tag is complete without adding a little Distressing. I used Tim Holtz new Tiny Attacher (Stapler), Dusty Concord Distressing Ink with a Blending Tool, and the Tim Holtz Distressing Tool to distress the edge of my black mat. Enjoy!!!
