"Count Your Blessing"

Check out the turkey that I "paper pieced". I used an old tole painting book and took one of the patterns from it, scanned it, made it smaller so it would fit on my 8 x 8" page.
I think it is so fun to look around at what I have, checking out all my statches and hiding places, then finding something that I can do something else with. How fun is that.

"Tuesday Trigger"

Tueday Trigger over at Paper Crafts "Moxie Fab" has an inspiration that Carolyn has posted with a Wicker Chair and a fabulous pillow she found at Pier One. I seen this paper that I had from We R Memories and thought wow this looks like the pillow and made this fabulous card. My little birdie is out of chipboard; isn't he cute sitting there amongst the spring flowers and gemstones. Have a Happy Day that is my motto!

The challenge: Design a "blast from the past” layout or other project based on this sketch by Anam Stubbington.
The rules: Use ANY My Mind’s Eye products (current or past) you’d like as long as your project has at least 80% My Mind’s Eye products.
The deadline: Email your project, first and last name to amber@mymindseye.com (with Blog Challenge 9 as your subject) or add a link in a comment on this post by Thursday, March 18,2010 (midnight, MST)
. This is my take on sketch. I really enjoyed doing the "blast from the past" layout. Ihave never done one before and really enjoyed doing this one of myself. It brought back some special memories that I was able to share with my husband. Now I am going to do a mirror image of him as a boy and now as a man. When I get it finished I plan to hang them in our bedroom. The paper line I used was "Life Stories" by Mind's Eye. At the top of my page I used the description sheet and from the package and I also used it to do my squares at the bottom of the page. The square are 3" and than I punched out 1 1/2" squares, inked them and placed them on pop dots. Pot Dots always give great dimension to any project.
I love to ink my edges and with layout it really makes everything "jump" from the page, especially since all of the papers are muted and shades of pinks and kraft.

"Jill, Jill, Jillibean Soup"

Look at the fabulous card I made from JilliBean Soup Products. Used an embellishment and some rub ons that I had to finish the card. It really turned out cute.

I started Annie Marie Scrapbook (finally), Annie was 1 week old when she started her Physical Therapy for her bracial plexus injury (Erbs Palsy) that she suffered at birth. Funny to think of exercise class at 1 week old but without it she may have never gained the use of her arm. Only time you know there is a problem is when she is tired or has fallen on that side. The importance of exercise is necessary from birth to death.

Love this frame, it turned out so cute. My eggs are made from chipboard ovals that I covered and decorated; I did though use a few embossed sticker eggs, banner and rabbit that I had. Now to find a photo to put in.

Everything here is made from Jillibean products except for the cream flower, rub on and brads. Make sure to check out the flower. My friend Cathy and I made a couple of them at the store the other day in circles but anyone that knows me I am going to figure out something more to make with the same technique, so this one is with scalloped sides that I hand drew and cut out. After you get your different sizes cut out wrinkle them up, straighten them up and ink them up, than you can add a brad, button or whatever you like to finish them up. Hope you enjoy!!!!!

"Make Sure To Get Two Friends"

I am so excited I got "Certified in Copic Markers" this weekend. I fell in love with the markers when I taught my first class. So I started buying them two at a time in the same color palette. I had six when my best bud "Patty" bought me a dozen for my birthday. She is the "BESTEST". So I started playing with them and the more I used them the more I found uses for them.
One day when I was blogging I seen on one of the blogs that Copic was going to have a certification class, so you got it I signed up. If you ever get a chance to take a class with Sally Lynn MacDonald she is just great. So very knowledgeable and informative. I glean so much in techniques from her I think my head will be swimming for days if not weeks. Also, if you have never tried a Copic marker you need to, I can assure you when you do no other marker will look the same.
One last thing - always buy your markers in threes: we were told buy your favorite color and than buy two friend one for each side of the favorite and at least 2 color difference in the numbers. For instance my favorite might be B14, I would then buy a B12 and B16. Remember though to always enjoy stamping.

"Jillibean Soup Easter Collection"

Jillibean Soup is one of my favorite paper lines. I would like to share with you this great Easter Card and Ideas, Tips and Techniques Notebook I made from some of their Easter Line. Have a few more projects in the making but thought it would be cool to share these for right now. I thought of a few of my friends that just "Crack Me Up" and when I made this Easter Card I had them in mind. Isn't it just the cutest.

Never can have enough journals to write in and after today I will definitely need it. My head is swimming over all the information that I glean from the Copic Certification class. The journal is just the right size at being 5x7.
I am tired tonight but will show off my certificate tomorrow evening here on my blog. Have so much to share in the next few days.

"Chip Art"

LOVE, LOVE This tool!!!! Anyone that personally know me they know I like tools and gadgets. This is the coolest new tool that I have seen in awhile. I know it is loud but that is okay I can be loud sometimes. You can look further down on my blog to see my first book. My girl Jean and I are going to be making an Easter Book on Wednesday at the store. So hold on to your ears my dear co-workers because here comes the mallets. I am sure it is going to be so cool. Think I will use the new Paper Company line of paper. If you haven't seen it, absolutely adorable.

"Mother and Daughter"

Great layout over on SEI Lifestyle. Remembered I had some photos of Sarah and Annie that worked perfectly with the paper. I used 3 pieces of SEI paper and a large brad and some rub ons that went with the paper.
Check out the flowers, I fussy cut the flowers and birds from one of the sheets of paper and then took ribbon and adhered it to the center of 3 smaller flowers and I placed a button on the larger one. The stems and leaves I stitched with black embroidery floss. I thought it gave a cool look and went with the theme of the paper.
