"Bikini Alert"

This morning while having my coffee and looking at the last of the snow on the ground I watched the very fat bluebirds that have come home to build their nest. I sat and thought that spring is just around the corner and it won't be long before we are out working in our flower beds, looking at our trees budding and checking to see if our perennials made it through the winter.

Next thing you know we will be getting the lawn furniture, BBQ grill and swimming pool ready for the summer. Can't wait!!! I don't know about everyone else but I love laying out by the pool listening to the birds sing.

The summertime anticipation reminded me of my little granddaughter Annie when she was here a couple of summers ago. She love getting to swim and her little bikini is so stinking cute. There is just something about a fat little girl in her swimsuit showing off all her cellulite.

I came across this great sketch on the Imaginisce site on facebook. Thought it would be perfect for my "Bikini Alert" page. Hope you enjoy. I used Imaginisce Paper. I stitched around a 9"circle, I also stamped a Hero Arts flower on Imaginisce paper and then highlighted it with a Copic Marker to give it depth. I put some of Tim Holtz Rock Candy on it to give it a distressed look and to keep it shaped. All the little flip flops were fussy cut from a piece of the Imaginisce paper and placed around the stitched path around the circle. Added a few brads here and there. The squares that say "Alert, Alert" are brads, they are really very neat.
